Not sticking to the meal plan…. :(
Ok…. I need advice, support, and ideas on how to not eat sweets! I’ll give up the bread, no problem but sugar is a whole different beast. How have many of you been successful in kicking the sugar craving and sticking to it. I am open to all and any suggestions. Let me know…
Also, are protein shakes necessary for weight loss and lowering body fat?
Thank you

I have the same problem, which is made worse by going low carb recently. I let myself have 2 diet sodas a day, plus some splenda in my coffee. That’s about it. Kind of sucks, so far.

A few tips that have helped me:
1) Use splenda
2) Use splenda in coffee
3) Try having cottage cheese, no sugar added yogurt and some grapes all mixed together, it is really sweat. In other word replace unhealthy sweey meals with healthy sweet meals
4) another sweet meal is this: add one banana, 4-8 frozen strawberries and some skim milk to a blender and blend it up - very sweet and if you want more protien just add protien powder
5) I find when I stat getting cravings I just go make green tea. This keeps my mouth busy until my next meal. Sometimes it is just having something to do with your hands rather than eating sweet
6) Go eat a protien bar, they are healthier than a chocolate bar but many are very sweet
7) I do protien pancakes and add no sugar added syrup this is sweet as well (check out my blog for recipe for protien pancakes
8) Make sure you have no unhealthy sweets in the house, this way you can’t just go get some at the spur of the moment. This includes chocolate bars, pop and other very unhealthy things…
Good luck.
