Gym initiation - I puked! lol
Well its official, I have baptised my gym by puking my guts out mid workout yesterday. lol. This week has been a tough one. I don't know why week three of this workout program has been a challenge, but it has been. My legs have been burning up with lactic acid all week in each workout. I am doing legs every single day, plus running plus biking. I'm starting to really feel the burn. Mind you, I am definately seeing the difference. Two days ago I was attempting to do sumo squats with the olympic bar (135 lbs) which honestly was not THAT difficult just last week, but this week I was burning and my stance was off. I did it, but I had a lot of difficulty and I wasn't really happy about my form. Yesterday I was doing my circuit training. It starts with deadlifts, then close arm bench press ( to work triceps ) then biceps. Each super set has 45 seconds pause, and each is eight sets of eight. It's pretty killer. Around set five my 'one last rep' i took before workout started upsetting my stomach and before I knew it I was running upstairs and hugging the porcelain bowl. lol....good times. So, needless to say the rest of the workout was not to the best of my performance. My cardio was pretty good, but I felt like I could have pushed harder had I not been feeling so off. I must have worked harder than i thought tho, because my shirt which was white, was completely see through and drenched by the end of the workout!..sign of a job well done.
This morning I woke up for my jog, I really expected to be lacking energy and probably to have sore legs but to my surprise it went awesome! Instead of my pathetic little bouncy walk that I call a jog, I'm now finally doing a slow run. I go for about forty minutes and before I was warming up for five minutes, now im only warming up for three, and slow jogging for 2, then a slow run for the rest of the time. Cool down for three minutes. So I am really seeing improvement which is exciting. I've learned that the beginning, maybe the first km or so is really the worst. Then you sort of get in this beat and its a lot easier. Funny how that works. Tonight I get a welcomed rest from training. I think I'll take it easy and rest up, then tomorrow I'm back at it!
Hi Meg ! you vomited it happens. I get the same way when it comes to leg workouts.
I don't push myself hard as you do since Im just starting out but when I get to doing eveytime I get that feeling like I need to but I don't. First time I did my leg workout I crawled back in the house when I was done. Next day all the lactic bulit up in my legs , I could still feel it days later.
I have gotten a little sick on my stomach before from working out but have never puked. Can't even fathom that and I think I work out hard. Damn girl :)
