Kicking off track season the right way!

Ok ladies and gents, yesterday was my first attempt at throwing the javelin since losing more than 40lbs since July. In the javelin quickness and strength are your best friends. During last season I was really disappointed because I was very healthy but at the same time I was very over weight. After the last meet of the season I weighed in at 287lbs. It was at that time after watching all of the smaller faster athletes beat my distance that I had to do something. On July 15th I decided to take control of everything in my life and get my **** together. From that day forward I really started watching what I ate. Simply from doing that the pounds really started to come off. After that I started on the LG Sciences Trifecta stack and boy did the pounds really melt away. I kept my strength up but really just started to shed the pounds. School started on the 1st of September and everyone was just confounded with the way I look. When school started I was about 10lbs heavier than I am now. Right now I am weighing in at about 245 in the morning completely nude.

Now back to track. My season best last year was only 55 meters. This is not a good throw by any means because I KNOW that I can do much better. Yesterday I was starting my training and went about my regular javelin throwing routine. After warming up and getting some good warm-up throws under my belt I started to really let some fly (about 75% effort). After throwing somewhat hard for about 10 minutes I decided to get a little bit of speed built up and let one go. Well when I did that my goodness was I surprised beyond belief. I ended up throwing 61+meters yesterday. Thats an improvement of over 6 meters just from losing a lot of weight and gaining a lot of speed. I will keep updating this as I see fit guys.

Thanks for reading-

Brandon
