Chinups (Part 2)
Monday, October 1st, 2007Well tonight I did seven chinups in a row with an overhand grip shoulder width apart, going lowering myself down until my arms were fully extended.Then I had a three minute rest and did four more reps. Then another rest then three more reps. Needless to say i am pretty happy. I met my goal with two months training on the assisted chin up bar. I actually discovered I could do chinups unassisted about two weeks ago. I had been training on the widegrip assisted training machine, for a couple of weeks. One night I had a go at the regular chinup bar when the gym was a bit emptier than usual. I used shoulder width grip, with all the joints aligned. I found to my surprise I could chin the bar. I wonder if I could chin 12 reps by end of November but using the widegrip?
