Going to the gym now…happy?

I have been going to the gym. Home weight training is not working out through lack of weight and equipment. I need weight to do back and legs. I tried to do chin ups at the local school bars, and even on my knees I was too tall. It gets me out in the evenings when the gym is empty. I notice the gym attendants  keep checking on me,probably to make sure I am still alive. My son is not motivated to train, I tried every trick in the book to convince him to keep training. I think only invitations to beach parties and barbeques will get him into the weights again….unless he gets a girlfriend. He is only 13 though…is that too early?

12 weeks

I have worked out 12 weeks. The last month could have been better. I posted my photos but was disappointed with them. I didn’t work hard enough so my stat changes are marginal. Will get to scale this week to see where my weight is at and add this to detail to my chart. I need to be more disciplined with regularity of food intake and water. Have to upgrade my weights/intensity without buying more plates. The son is not training much but eating a little better and losing fat. Thinks he is a ninja….

Skeptical about keto diet

I’ve been reading heaps on these keto diets so I thought I would try it this week to see what happens. I have eaten mainly cold meats and shredded chicken. I also continued with the protein shakes but not sure if I should be using super trim milk. Too bad I like bread can’t wait until carb up day.In the last five days I noticed I have lost a little bit of fat off my upper abdominals, but it is slow. Have had the strange taste in my mouth that other keto dieters mention. Hopefully I will last the weekend. The son has bnot been doing his workouts. He is always too tired so I may need to think about how to deal with his diet too to boost his energy. Workoutwise I have been using the dumbells with some extra weight. Researched some bodyweight exercises but may have to hit the real gym to deal with the legs properly. The bench top dips have gone suprisingly well. I am hopeful of improvement there. Need to sort out pullups man. Not enough weight at home really to get an adequate back workout. I have to do some damage…yep.
