Need more plates

It is pizza night again already, but I only managed three cardios this week. A run through the city some stair stepping and a rowing machine session. I did my dips and realised that it will be some time before I manage to work through the full range of movement. I read in the forums that I should start with lowering myself by inches and work my way up to a full 90 degree arm bend. I need to buy some more weight plates though. I see thekansan is getting a 300lbs lifting set. We have been scraping by on 60lbs of weight and two dumbell handles, doing pushups using little handle elevating things and now dips between the kitchen benchtops. I might also need to sort out some kind of pull up bar so we can get a decent back workout. I have introduced incline flyes this week and last week and man they pumped the outer chest and the front delts up. The sons not been interested in the weights this week. Too much socialising…as teenagers do.

pizza night

Fridays is pizza night…my four year old says so. Had a late session on the weights last night and figured out a way to do dips in the corner of two joining benchtops. Yeah man…so I knocked out three sets of eight then hit the sack. This weekend means two more cardio workouts meaning six for the week. I gotta kill that fat, dead. Lets do it…

Late night training

We were up too late training tonight and the son got in a bad mood. Did high intensity cardio pushing the heart rate over 170 again. The weight session took twice as long as it should have. Had to harass him through every set. Tried some new handle things to elevate our push-ups as we have no bench press.They work well…for now. Photographs were taken afterward and we measured up. Minimal size gains but some tone appearing. The aim is to do cardio five days this week and cut the fat…mister.

cardio sessions to boost fat loss

I went for a 40 minute hard out session tonight with my son. He was chasing me all the way..the little Rambo.Consisted of speed walking up a steep path alternating sloping path and short steep step climbs then turning around and walking back down. At the top of each climb our heart rates were at over 170 per minute. Extremely difficult toward the top but as I said he was chasing me. I think we need this extra cardio because our diet isn’t strict enough. Lets see what happens…yeah
