Fat Burner question…

Hi everyone,

I want to find out, specially from those members who have a really low Body Fat %, how important is a Fat Burner in their supplementation. 1) How often do you take it a year? 2)For how long? What’s your favorite brand?

P.S. I do understand the importance of a clean diet.

Thank you all for your time :-) )

Personally, I think fat burners are crap…

I’ve tried a few of them that were very highly touted so I speak from some experience…

The only thing they are good for is getting a nice dose of caffeine without getting coffee stains on your teeth…

The only thing that really works is to eat clean and healthy and excercise.

Nothing changed for me until I changed my diet.

I’ve tried MuscleTech’s "ThermoGain" (not made anymore I think), and Hydroxycut. Taking both as suggested on the bottles. Neither of them did anything for me except make me feel hot all the time. I didn’t notice a change in my bodyfat % at all. I’m at about 7% now, and I’d like to get down around 6%, and the fat burners aren’t helping, so I’m not taking them anymore. Clean diet and interval cardio are what work for me.

I did try several kinds a few years ago when I first started trying to loose fat. My healthy eating habits were just not working fast enough. Not to name names but there are several very popular brands that I tried, gave them their 90 days and the only one that really seemed to work was the EAS brand CLA. These did not give me the flushing (hot faced) feeling which I absolutely hate. Not sure what it was but it really did seem to help trim the fat quicker. I am not saying that is it specifically, because I was still doing a LOT of cardio and had totally changed my diet. There was something though that made me feel it was working. I stopped taking them a little over a year ago and have been able to maintain, however not drop anymore from my body fat % based on just my diet. Makes me wonder???

Hey, i’ve tried a lot of fat burners out there.. :)

    Most of them work fine.

The most researched ones are CLA (conjugated linoleic Acid)

    Green tea xtract

    Chromium piccolinate

You can basically buy all 3 separately and take it with caffeine pills.

    OR

try to find these in most fat burner products out there.

the one that’s cheap and works pretty well is

    Ripped fuel by Twin Labs

    I personally like

    Hydroxycut Hardcore…

it has appetite suppressants / guggl lipids.. and other natural fat burners in there..

basically it’s all trial n error..

i’ve tried NRG’s Red Stinger, Lipodrene, Jet fuel, Zenalean, Lipo 6, Lipo 6X, and like 2 more non-name brands..

i guess u can call me a lab rat.. hehe

BUt i found they all work pretty much the same with the right diet. They just aid the process.

I’d start trying any fat burner product. If it gives u mood swings, or hypertension, then bring it back.. :)

I found most people respond differently to specific products.. YOu jus have to find what works for you. :)

    hope this helps..

The only thing that works for me is the good old Ephedra, caffeine and Aspirin stack aka ECA stack, This was the stack that was in the original hydroycut until the FDA pulled ephedra off the market. Yes this makes you gitterey and sometimes irritable but I tell you honestly unless you have heart or blood pressure issues this is clinical proven to work. You can still buy ephedrine (same thing as ephedra just man made and better because you know how much you are getting.) And they sell caffeine pills at most grocery stores in the diet section. Just add 1 adult aspirin and viola! If you can stand the shakes and are healthy this is the way to go - ESPECIIALLY when conbined with clean eating and a balanced weights and cardio workout.
