Yes, I eat the same thing every day, I like it that way, it’s just easier. Currently I’m on a 5-day weightlifting split. I do abs on even numbered days for like 5 or 10 minutes, I hate working my abs more than anything in the world. I’m focusing on shoulders and arms in a last-ditch effort to cap them off nicely…noticed my symmetry is WAY off today. I’m using Saturday as an "active rest" day (usually taking yoga) and Sunday for resting. I also get a cheat meal in - lunch after church on Sundays, not much of a cheat when it’s dry grilled salmon and steamed veggies with no butter! But some semblance of a normal life I’m also going to allow myself one dinner per week (that I cook) that is "off plan" but still fits in macros - some awesome recipes in the new Oxygen magazine that I’m dying to try out.
Mon - Back
Tues - Shoulders and Arms
Wed - Legs
Thurs - Shoulders and Arms
Fri - Chest
I feel good and I’m looking good. I think my IFPA Pro Card is definitely within reach!

I’m chugging along with no rules this week - and my bff from college coming to visit on the weekend for one last hurrah before the diet is on - just lifting and trying to get used to the nice early bedtime.
Starting April 21 I’m going to do 1458 cals (32F/116C(17gFiber)/176P) and no cardio for two weeks to take a "baseline" of where my diet needs to go. I’m going to try to do pictures and measurements every two weeks to step back and readjust my progress. It looks like I’ll have 14 weeks to lose about 18 pounds, I think I’ll be able to do it nice and slow and maintain muscle mass. I will readjust my lifting to hit my arms and shoulders twice a week and I’ll have to add in ab workouts (boo) but I’m feeling great about legs and back. It’s time…

yesterday i woke up and just could not figure out how to get up and train. since i’ve been working with such high volume and intensity this week, i guessed maybe my body was telling me to take the morning off. so i went back to sleep.
i was a miserable biotch ALL DAY cause i didn’t get my endorphin fix in the AM! as soon as i got into work everything was going wrong. and little shit that didn’t even matter started pissing me off. i was a mess. i was so stressed and unable to focus i cleaned my office, spic and span, baby.
by lunchtime it was beautiful out, so i left, picked up some food, and had a heart to heart with my bff. i was able to recover and get something done with my day, but damn, the morning was rough. the moral of this story is NO MORE SKIPPING WORKOUTS. i know as soon as i get in the car i’m ready to roll, and apparently i can’t function all day without it. i made up the workout this morning and punished my shoulders extra hard. it’s gotta be a better day at work today!
power yoga tomorrow morning, let’s see if it continues to beat me into submission.

i barely ever post, but i felt like sharing today.
i hate training chest
hate hate hate it. it’s boring. it’s not super important for figure. and i’m just not good at it. so i usually hate chest day.
today i had the first chest workout EVER that had me leaving the gym completely crushed. i just continued pushing through set after set, until my pecs, delts, and tris were a complete mess.
bench press, incline bench, dips, dumbbell flyes, dumbbell presses, pushups, and cable flyes. those last few reps of cable flyes, i can’t lie, i couldn’t possibly have brought my hands together. AND IT FELT SO GOOD. i feel strong and powerful today. maybe an increase in volume and intensity is what i need to break this bench plateau. one of these days i’ll be warming up with big plates….

mentally, i’m 100% ready to start dieting and training for the summer shows. i’m just itching to get started, but forcing myself to focus on gaining gaining gaining. i took a yoga class this weekend, that hurt pretty badly, my core is still sore from that.
i had a really amazing leg workout this morning - back squats, front squats, leg press, quad extensions, BB lunges and some calf exercises. i’m feeling fine now but not too sure i’ll be able to walk tomorrow.
i’ve recruited destiny to help me get photos and measurements to keep good track of my progress once i start dieting. i am NOT looking forward to adding cardio back into my routine, let’s cross our fingers that i don’t need to be doing 1 - 2 hours a day like i was in october. diet has to be perfect….working on the plan this weekend. next weekend will be a big bang to go out on…stay tuned

no updates, still chugging along. i’ve finally got my passion for training back. it took a while, but when i get in that zone with some hard music pumping in my ears, i will train like a monster for as long as i can. i start my diet april 21 and i’m getting really excited to do it. i’m slowly cleaning up and trying to gear up for the diet, it’s going to be a KILLER to get rid of candy and the yummy snacks at church stuff, but I can’t wait to see all this hard work. i killed my shoulders today. let’s hope its paying off.
