My current split
Tuesday, June 5th, 2007I’ve been meaning to post this up for comments/advice. Got this split from Cosgrove and Shuler’s "The New Rules of Lifting." No isolation work. Pretty much no machines. Just heavy heavy weight, low reps, intensity through the roof. I train in the AM which leaves me free to enjoy the weather after work and on weekends, as well as take the occasional spinning class or go rock climbing or go for a hike without affecting my workouts. Seems to be a good fit for summer weather.
Monday - Horizontal Push/Pull (Based on Bench and Heavy Rows)
Tuesday - Hip-Dominant (Based on Deadlifts)
Wednesday - Cardio/Abs/Start working on Fitness Mandatories/Flexibility
Thursday - Vertical Push/Pull (Based on Pullups and Shoulder Presses)
Friday - Quad Dominant (Based on Squats and Lunges)
Any feedback/suggestions are welcome!
Still pulling together supplements and nutrition after a ROUGH week. Will get that up when I find a good balance. Today I’m at 2000 cals - 45F/200 C/180 P - this is a good baseline to start with and adjust from for a clean bulk phase. I am struggling to keep it clean after such discipline this spring, we shall see. MUST GET BACK ON TRACK!!!
