As soon as I am done, I'll post an exerpt and an abstract here. As I said this is the first big fictional work I have ever engaged in - it has a LOT of auto-biographical and other-biographical material. The main characters are.... TWO POWERLIFTERS! A woman with an academic background and bipolar disorder (what a coincidence!) and a record-breaking PL who gets involved with her challenges to control some "mental ability" that appeared during the a near-death experience. Than the "bad guys" are the pharmaceutical companies and a mysterious perhaps-military research group and the good guys a buddhist network (and then its sheer tripping)....

LOL, I've actually personally done NaNoWriMo before, 3 years ago - it was a group book, however, there were 4-5 of us actively and alternately writing chapters in a collaborative novel.

It was fun, but exhausting. It's a great idea, but we'd be late getting started this year. Plus, it's like pulling teeth to keep people updating their blogs frequently, let alone getting them to write 1,612 words per day, LOL.
