Time to get back to business!

Wow, I can’t believe how fast time has passed. It is time to get going again on my fitness goals. After working hard early in 2008, I have slacked off a little. My disordered eating habits returned and I dropped weight. I recently has to move across the country and the people I am living with now have pretty bad eating habits. While I am eating more than before it is food that isn’t great for me or my body. I have also had a hard time finding a gym that I like in my new community. I have been running consistently but have lost muscle tone and gained body fat. I feel like I am farther from my fitness goals than ever, but instead of getting bummed out about it I am going to get motivated to make the changes for life.

I have good new though. My brother’s wife is pregnant! I am going to be a first time aunt. I am even more determined to be a good role. I want to show children that maintaining a health diet and exercise routine leads to physical and emotional well being. In short, I want to be a healthy aunt that is full of life and fun.

Have any of you all struggled with eating disorders and found your way back to health? It is hard to gain muscle with out feeling a bit worried about gaining fat. If anyone out there has survived an eating disorder, how did you overcome or prevent relapse? Any advise would be so helpful! Thank you all for your support and encouragement.
