Cardio mixed with karate like lunges, punches, jumps and kicks. Much like I’d imagine the Taebo workouts were like. This is definitely a sweatin’, high octane work out. Always moving, hardly any breaks, lots of calories burned. I can’t quite kick as high as Tony would like me to, but I’m hoping to get better over the coming weeks.

Didn’t get to finish this workout entirely… Had to go back to work halfway through. I was glad for the interupption because my legs were starting to feel like jelly.

Ok, now I never would’ve considered myself a "yoga person". I thought it was something women did to be flexible. I never considered doing it myself because, come on…. how hard can it be???
After doing about 45 minutes of it, I would like to offer an apology to everyone out there who is practicing yoga. I tried… It’s uncomfortable, especially when you’re not flexible like myself. Twisting and turning in all different directions while trying to remain "calm" in the face. I’m sure I looked all distorted! The entire video was 1 hr, 20 minutes or thereabouts. I did around 45 minutes and decided that was enough for my first time. I didn’t want to overdo it and like Tony says, "listen to your body". Another factor is that I’m STILL sore from the leg workout so I think I was wearing down faster than normal. But I WILL get there! Trust me! I will get there… Have a great day!

Arms & Shoulders, along with Ab Ripper X. I didn’t seem to have to much of a problem with the arms and shoulders routine (for which I’m grateful). The only minor difficulty I had was trying to get the bands that had the correct resistance I needed. I’m seriously thinking about buying some dumbbells, either Powerblocks, BowFlex SelectTechs or I hear IronMaster makes a good set as well. I just can’t have a bunch of dumbbells laying around because I don’t have the room. Maybe I’ll have enough money from my tax return (yeah right!). Anyways, did the arm and shoulder routine and got to the Ab Ripper part. This part only lasts 16 minutes but I seriously don’t know how they do all the reps they were doing with those exercises. I was having a hard time with the balancing but I think a part of the difficulty for me was that I was still so sore from having worked the legs the day before. It hurts just to sit down on my butt! lol I seriously haven’t been this sore in so long so I know it must be working. I’m trying to get this diet thing down too. Mainly at the moment just trying to cut out sugars and eating smaller portions throughout the day. On to Day 4!

Plyometrics. Before today I didn’t even realize this was a word! One hours worth of lunging, jumping, squatting, leaping, and then doing it all over again. I was completely out of breath by the 30 minute mark. The burn that gets going in your legs is unreal. I mean, my legs totally felt like jelly by the time I was done. I could hardly walk up/down the stairs. Pain, pain, pain. I had to take an easy on a couple of the exercises because my knee was starting to flare up on me. Anyways, I made it, however ugly it may have been. God only knows how I’ll feel tomorrow. I guess I’ll find out then! Have a good evening.

I started my P90X workout this morning….WOW! That’s all I can say is WOW! I don’t think I’ve ever done anything quite like this. Day 1 was torture. I’ve never been so out of breath and had my muscles burn like this. Unbelievable! Day 2 should be more of the same. Woohoo! Pray that I make it.

Well, it finally happened! After waiting for over a week, my P90X system finally showed up on my doorstep, courtesy of the brown machine. Started reading the manuals that came with it. I’m more concerned about the nutrition part than the exercises. I’ve never been very good at staying on a diet plan. Like people have said before me, it’s a lifestyle change, not just a diet change. I’m hoping once I get the hang of what I’m supposed to eat and when, it’ll come a little easier to me. I had my wife look at it when she got home so she’ll be able to help me with grocery shopping, etc. So much to plan!!! I’m starting this coming Monday, since you train 6 days on, 1 day off. I’d like my day off to be Sunday. I’m actually pretty excited! Time will tell if this program will knock me on my butt or not, but I say BRING IT!
Later!
