From Begginner to Intermediate - Question

I have been working out religously for the past 6 1/2 months. Since that time, I have made some tremendous gains. I gained approximately 15 pounds of muscle with about 4-5 pounds of fat, which is not bad in my opinion considering the fact that I have a small body-frame. Lately, I have made absolutely no new gains. Two months have past. Of course, I know I hit a plataeu, but I’ve done almost everything to rectifiy that including weeks of rest. Initially, my workout consisted of 3 days per week, head to toe, 3 sets, 10 reps. Now, I’ve increased my weights at 3 sets, 4 to 6 reps and still no gains. I’m getting stronger, but not bigger. What am I doing wrong. Can anyone help? I’m thinking about loading with creatine to see if that will work. My goal is 180 pounds. I am at 168 currently. I was 150 back in October.

Just a thought - but how about some volume training and bodypart splits. This encourages some more blood into the muscle but also allows for more rest for muscle fiber growth. Whole body training may not cut for you anymore.

What is volume training? Bodypart splits? How often should I do this? How many reps and sets?
