One door shuts and another opens

Well… I got laid off from work.  I am really bummed out about that because I love my work.  I don’t understand what happened w/ their business … I guess money and business management.  I was last in so I am first out, as they say.

The great thing about getting laid off is that now I even have more time to work out at the gym and go to a larger variety of classes.  Two of my favourite days to go to the gym are Monday and Friday… and now I can go!  I always try to find good in everything.  I’m lucky because my hubby makes good money so loosing my job isn’t a financial blow.  I will be able to take care of my kids better…take them to school and back and be here when they are on school holiday.

I went in this morning and ran for 1.5 miles then did a circut cardio class and then a weight training class.  I feel super duper good.

I’m still trying to get rid of some body fat.  Why does it come off so slow … or it seems to anyway.  I need to be more patient I think… it won’t happen over night.

Like  many people on this site, I looked at myself one day and saw something that I didn’t like at all.  I decided to do something about it, and I am.

I started getting out of shape and soft/chubby due to my female bits inside going haywire.  I had them taken just over a year ago and I felt like I got a new body almost instantly.  I was able to do everyday things w/o pain now, so I joined the gym.  I lost two stone wich is about 28 lbs!!! I feel better now than I did when I was in my 20’s… and my body is looking better and better every day.

I want to transform my body.  My goal is muscle definition mainly and not so much on the bulk.  I would love to have a six pack, I had one back in my late 20’s for a short time when I worked on the ramp at the airport…that was HARD work!

I have changed up my diet.  More protien and less bad fat… actually no bad fat at all… all clean foods.  I find it liberating to be able to say no to junk food and give my body the fuel it can utilize best.  I still have a lot to learn about diet.  I am looking into whey suppliments etc…. for now I am on tuna fish, chicken breasts, and cottage cheese for protien.  I think I need more.

I am excited to see what changes take place over the next several months… wish me luck!

Welcome!
