I made it through Spin class really well. I was able to keep working for the whole hour. I can still do a few regular push ups and leg lifts. The good news is that I only seem to be just out of shape from having to be still and inactive for so long. Today was a really good day.

It’s nice to read everyone’s blogs again. I have been out for quite a while with a really bad back. I finally had to have surgery with an implant, a bone graft, rods and screws. I am just starting back to my bodybuilding and weightlifting. The worst part now is that I have to start from the beginning with really light weights to see if I have any limitions. If anyone has gotten back to weightlifting after back surgery, send me a suggestion or two on how you got back to your full workout.

I am so proud of all of you who are nearly finished with the contest. Everyone looks really good! I am still trying to get me work travel cut down so I can more fully pursue my fitness goals. I hope everyone has a great Easter Holiday with their friends and family.

I finally got an interview for a non traveling job. Hopefully, they will hire me. I am looking foward to going to the same gym I like and being home to cook healthy foods.
Good luck to everyone still in the contest!

I know it has been a while since I have written, but I have just now been able to be home long enough to catch up a few things. At work, we have just hired some new people to replace all of the people retiring. It seems everyone is still doing well. The flu is so bad here in Texas, several of my audits for this month are canceled. I got my flu shot, so I am still doing well and hope to get in some really good workouts while I am staying in town for a while. Good luck to all of you in the contest!

I have tried some of the pre-portioned veggies and fruit in those non refridged packages and they are really gross and over salty. The last trip I took for work was kind of difficlut. I had to tote a lot of fresh food and go the store frequently. At least the exercise was easy to keep up since there were several gym locations. I will be going to a really small town in Texas this coming week and I hope they have a real grocery store and not a truck stop that only sells truck driver food. I am still trying to get rid of my truck driver belly and ass. I don’t want to let things get so bad that I get a mullett cut and change my name to Bubba Jean!

There is nothing wrong with a lady wanting to look nice when they go out in public, but when I saw this girl, I thought she was mistaking the gym for the singles bar. If I wore that much makeup and false eyelashes, I would look like those old "I ran into Tammy Faye" t-shirts. Of course she wasn’t breathing hard or sweating.
I started my first day of the powerlifting training today. I felt kind of odd not lifting very much weight while I practiced proper form. I used the weights I am currently at so I would not hurt myself. However, doing each exercise and each set to failure wore me out. I had to struggle through my cardio today. I like this workout. it was a good ass kicker.

Today I was reading about powerlifting and learning what I need to change in my workout so I can strengthen my back and core muscles. What is good is that for my workouts is that my goal is to increase my 1 rep max after each session. I will have to work a lot harder and it should help me get the rest of my fat burned off.
Have a Happy New Year everyone!

I am looking over the Workout Tracker and trying to get some stuff ready to include. Good Luck to all of you who plan to do the contest. I wish I had the time to do it myself. I am planning to enjoy all the Christmas goodies, but try to keep it in moderation so I don’t have so much to work off after the holidays.

I don’t know if any of you have read my last blog about my reruns, but I have worked hard to make sure that I have a place to workout and prepare my own meals while I am on travel. The first week of January, I will be doing an audit with two old fat men and decided to take my own car so I can go to the gym and stay as long as I want. Well, when I told my fellow travelers that I will travel alone and they can claim the rembursement. I did not mind paying my own way there and back, I was told… "Oh honey, we will let you use the car, your a woman. You won’t be there long. We will just wait. We will go out to eat after and have some drinks." Oh they don’t understand that I am working on trying to get to where I can compete and need to be carefull what I eat. I cannot go out and eat crap and drink all night! Also, I have worked with these guys before and I will be better off staying somewhere else and using my own car. Also, where they want to stay has a bar, bar food, but no gym.
