free samples

Like many of you im always down for some free samples…so i order a topical fat burner thingy i saw the ad in an oxygen mag..again didnt really know much about it..but it was a free sample so you know what the hey ill figure it out when the mailman drops it off right!
So i get the package i open it up get a tube of stuff..and read my invoice..tell me why these pple sent me a letter saying welcome to our members club and i would be getting more shipments as a member for only 30 dollars a month…ohh h@ll no…   i only signed up for the FREE samples..the funny thing about it was they sent a letter saying they werent those “scrupulous” companies that just automatically enroll you in a club with out your knowledge and THATS EXAACTLY WHAT THEY DID!! I had to call them up real fast & get that straight…i told them that yes they are those scrupulous companies and to stop lying and misleading folks and to not send me another thing AND to leave my credit card alone…man serves them right.. i just wanted somethin free….Im beginning to believe that nothing in this life is lol!

10/19/07 workout

Todays workout;

1)warm-up treadmill 6.5 mph 10 mins

2) Back and triceps

a) close grip pulldowns (4 sets 15x)

b) triceps pushdowns (same)

c) seated 2 arm rows (same)

d) fixed pulldowns

e) wide grip pull ups (machine)

f) bench dips (4 sets of 15)

g) kickbacks

h) bent over rows

3) HIIT 20 mins

I increase the weight with every set…i do a back and tri exercise  back to back then rest for a min then do it again for 4 sets each then move on to the next pair of exercises:)

Losing motivation

I guess this happens to everyone…well im no exception i am losing my motivation…I havent stopped working out..but i have started to slack on my eating…its not like a Bigmac and fries mistake its more like a chocolate bar or a pb&J at  night slip-up…oh whoa is me!!!

Now im paying for it..and i have never been so bloated in my life…man i need some words of wisdom something to get my head in the game…………

I have never been the one to really question what i ate. my mentality for a while was "i can eat what i want" and i ate whatever i wanted so much that my cholesterol was a Whopping 240 in my early 20’s..bagels cookies esp cookies..didnt want to say no..i did stay active somewhat so my weight did not increase a lot but i did start to develop the chubbs and handles -you’ve seen the progress pics:-p So my doctor always warned me about family history and so forth but me being young and thinking there is always tomorrow i didnt try to rectify this…fast forward to the present day..since my desire to start competing next year..I have benefited so much from this change and since its only been about 6months since the switch and i havent been eating clean 100% I still felt better than ever…so when i had a doctors apt..it dawned on me that i havent had my cholest. and glucose checked so i did the whole fasting thing and had blood drawn..
The Results are in;

cholest. total= 166 (remember i was always in the 240’s)

triglycerides= 36  (the lower the better)

HDL=68 (happy cholesterol the higher the better)
LDL= 91 (loser cholesterol under 130 is ideal)

and to add my blood sugar was at 81 :)
I am so glad to receive this news..i refuse to believe I am doomed to be obese suffering from CAD, HTN, and diabetes simply b/c genetics say so…I couldnt be happier..I hope this serves as an inspiration more than my  progress pictures.  So keep eating that oatmeal…keep sucking down that tuna and chicken…and the flax yams etc etc.. you will reap the benefits:)
