Sickness good for weight loss!

November 3, 2009

Well it is initially, but not eating aint good for the rebound effect. Not been well recently which has meant time off from the gym. Now heavy with cold but feeling well enough to face the morning training again. Weigh in Friday and see if I’ve put any weight back on at all. I’m hoping that wont be the case but we’ll see.

Great weeks training and 2lb lost

October 23, 2009

Better result than last week, yet haven’t trained as many day’s as had to look after the wife and daughter, as they were suffering with illness. Guess it really is more about diet than anything else.. Which we all know it is really. Roll on another good week and a step closer to that target of mine.

No change but training hard

October 19, 2009

Tough week last week. 4 days at the gym, some very intense cardio sessions. Tad surprised I didn’t lose anything as diet wasn’t overly bad either, but its obvious it wasn’t quite good enough. Have to lose 2lbs this week though.

New routine started as advised

August 13, 2009

First week trying out a new routine that a friend has advised. Thankfully he’s got plenty of experience in lifting and fitness so I’m giving it my full attention.

Work out is as follows…

Monday, squats, intervals, steady state cardio

I’ll do two warmup sets, then 3 sets increasing the weight each time. Intervals generally on a cross trainer. At the moment I’m doing ten mins total. Going steady for 2mins then sprint for 1 min then 2mins steady and repeat. Only did 5 mins after that on the bike as was short on time and pretty worn out.

Tuesday Incline d/b press, intervals, steady state cardio.

I actually missed my session on monday and tuesday so going to double up at the end of the week, but today (Thursday) I increased my bike cardio to 10mins.

Wednesday  D/b rows, intervals, steady state cardio

Plan on increasing both HIIT times and steady cardio.

Thu - Chins, intervals, steady state cardio

Fri - D/b shoulder press, intervals, steady state cardio

Focus is more on cardio to shift the fat while still hiting the weights.

So far enjoying it.

Skipping, its great

July 30, 2009

Its only a small amount but I’m skipping in the eveing for 5 mins. Sounds a little and it is, but thats actual skipping, with stops and breaks its probably about 10mins. The rope I’ve got tells me how much time I’m spending doing just the skipping.

Weigh in tomorrow. Haven’t been to the gym as much as I wanted/needed to as have a lodger with us right now, and we’re spending some late nights gaming :) Not good for the morning training but good fun in the evening.

Watching the diet though which is what I’m hoping is going to help keeping the weight coming off in the week.

A week of training, at last

July 24, 2009

Well I’ve finally managed to put in a full 4 day’s of training this week. I’ve been watching the diet and managed to lose 3.7lbs because of it. Getting the morning routine back on track is always a big put off when you just want to sleep, but after a few day’s its just part of the course.

Loving it again :)

New post

June 30, 2009

Haven’t blogged for a while, haven’t really been training as I should be. Training much less than I need to. Put a few pounds back on too.

Gotta get back into things and keep this site upto date and keep track of my goals.

No pressure now, but still have to set targets.

May 21, 2009

No betting pressure on, and not as focused as I should be but whats new :)

Still watching the diet, probably more so than the training. Been seriously struggling to get up in the morning. Getting fed up of being woken up at 4am by the bird chorus that goes on where I live. I wanna blow off a shotgun to shut em up. The birds also chill out at about 5am which is when I end up falling back into a deep sleep, so come alarm time at 6am I’m beat.

Done a bit of skipping tonight in the garden, but my lovely daughter wants to join in which at just over 2yrs old, she doesn’t realise the rope is involved too. Also gets the attention of the missus too.

Looks like I gotta kick myself back out of bed and get my butt to the gym.

Still 16st 10lbs… 234lbs.

Keep moving on.
