I’m out!
Son’s birthday party… I was doing really well until around 3:30…
My son’s party theme was geocaching (treasure hunting with a hand held gps unit) so we went to a local nature reserve to search for a treasure my husband had hidden earlier that day. With all the excitement of getting ready for the day I forgot to eat before we left. We packed trail mix and some water bottles for the kids little adventure. As we were out in the woods I realized how hungry I was and I didn’t have enough water to quench my hunger. I also forgot to feed my girl before we left so I had a screaming one year old on my back as I hiked about a 1/4 mile back to the car to get an apple I brought with me. The apple lead to the trail mix. One bag was probably over 600 calories. It had almonds and peanuts, raisins and m&m’s. Yum! It hit the spot. It just went downhill from there. I didn’t have any of the birthday cookies but I did indulge in a slice of pizza, a chicken finger and some dr. pepper. Sad to say, I’m out. I still plan on eating clean. I will go for a run tomorrow to try and work off the pizza I had. Tomorrow is the family party for my boy. I plan on having a slice of ice cream cake and staying clean the rest of the day. Will need to pack my food in the am.
Hope the rest of you are doing well and for those who are out… stay clean! You may be out of last one standing but your goal is still to get lean so you’ll still need to be eating clean.
Have a great weekend all.

Girl you tried and the fact that you’re still trying is a testament to your determination to eat clean and stay clean. It’s hard, but don’t beat yourself up. Just get back on that old horse and keep riding! Now if I could just knock Juls out

Mmmm… trail mix–sweet and salty both! I hope that you at least enjoyed your cheat! I enjoyed reading about it and imagining how it must have tasted!
Keep plugging away!

Girl I hear ya! That was too much pressure all at once…..as I read your blog I could totally see you with empty bags of trail mix, cookie crumbs and pizza crust laying between you and your lil lady! OK, OK, I know it wasn’t near that but it was a fun visual!! lol After my melt down Wednesday night I’ve been staying clean as well…… thanks for the encouragment and helping all of us with this!

Girl, I would have turned into the cookie monster. The kids would have just stood and looked at me like I was crazy.

Aww, sorry to hear you’re out of the game, but what a way to go - fire a-blazin’ and all! What a great idea for a birthday party, too!! The last one I went to was a Dora the Explorer theme and all we did was eat unhealthy food and had a pinata full of - yup - candy!
What a great way to keep the kiddies active - excellent, chica!
