The Defluffing ends

Sorry I didn’t post anything last week (week 5). I was away visiting family. Needless to say, didn’t eat well, didn’t workout (except for running after a frisbee at the beach). The visit consisted of eating and sitting on our duffs playing cards. It was fun. I did make the mistake of working my legs with Juls the day before we left. I was hurting for the next couple days. Sitting in a van for 8 hours was pretty tough.
This past week was pretty rough too. I would start the day doing really well, but by night fall…. CRASH! Not that I pulled out the hoho’s or anything, but I would just indulge in fruit or almonds… too many with craisins and sometimes some dark chocolate m&m’s (not all the time) I DID make it to the gym for cardio or I ran outside. My runs were good. I also did partner bicep curls with Juls @ 40#. My bi’s are still screaming at me. I installed a chinup bar in the doorway into the kitchen. So I do a couple here and there as I walk to and from. I figure if I do a few each time I opened the fridge I can burn a couple calories. :) Or maybe I should just do chinups and not open the fridge.
So as far as measurements. I did not take any. All I can say is that I’m pretty sure that the last two weeks brought back some of the fluff I disposed of. Oh well, I will keep moving forward. 3 steps forward, 2 steps back… it’s still 1 step forward right?

Thanks to all for the encouragement. It was great seeing everyones progress and rooting for everyone. This site is awesome and I happy I had the opportunity to take part in this challenge.

So what’s next? Last man standing?

Elisa

I feel you on the "three steps forward, 2 steps back." I had a stall in my plans not to long ago when I was moving from Pa, to NC. I had bought pizza for people who helped me pack and load (cheap and easy), but not all of it was eatin needless to say i didnt want to waste it all so i ate at least a whole pizza within a 24 hour period. Thats a lot of calories. But once I got back on a routine it only took a few days to get back to were i was. If i add up a few days here and there i could be at least 5 lbs lighter. But on a positive note…still going a step forward as you said.

I love the curls with a partner (I called them "I-go-you-go’s") done to failure it’s my favorite thing ever.. next to running the rack for bi’s too.. lol better watch that chin up bar in the doorway, you might get huge lats and not fit through the doorway.. lol I always wanted to do that.. but I am limited to a lot of things because of my size.. too tall for this too heavy for that.. ugh the story of my life.. good job sticking with the challenge, I too was visited by the M&M fairy.. I can’t wait for the next chalenge too.. oh and I was so afraid I offended someone with the TOM comment so thank you so much for seeing the lighter side of that in my blog.. lol talk soon!!!

"One step, one step" that has been my motto for years. So keep on taking your one step forward, they eventually add up. You brave one, a chinup bar?! How cool.

I am glad that you had time away with your family. Foodfest and all!

See you in the next challenge my dear. Keep on moving, obstacles of today would be history tomorrow.

I’m with you on the three steps forward, two steps back, but such is life, and you seem to be taking it withe necessary grain of salt. Thanks for your support and keep on moving forward!!!

YOU have been very awesome and supportive, so thank YOU for that!! I definitely agree that the motivation tends to peter off at night time, but hey - learning lessons and hopefully we’ll overcome that habit!! You did awesome with this challenge and I can’t wait to see how you do in the next one! I hope you are having a great weekend, LJ!

LJ…first I have to say that everytime I see your profile pic, I feel like I am looking at a R&B or blues album cover. It is so cool and a really great pic. And secondly, I watched your videos on Jul’s page and thought, what fun chicks…I would love to hang out with you guys.
AND, 1 step forward is progress, so own it. I could have done better, but why beat yourself up. Enjoy your vacation, family, cards, sitting on your butt. Are you really going to regret that in the big picture? As your elder, I am passing on some sage wisdom here.

Thanks for the support. It was fun to be in the challenge with you.

    Love your videos!!!
