Friday Fluff #1
This is my first bodyspace challenge. I am very excited about it but also slightly apprehensive. I tend to expect too much and get very discouraged at the end. If all had gone how I’d hoped with my BFL challenge earlier this year I would have had a 6 pack by now… the small type of "results aren’t typical" was meant for people like me. My result are very slow!
Since this is my first entry for "Fight the Fluff 6 week challenge", I need to post my start photos, goals and measurements.
My goals for this challenge:
- to eat clean for 6 weeks with 3 cheat meals (my son’s birthday, my birthday and my husband’s birthday) OK maybe 4 - July 4 fits in there. The challenge ends on July 11.
- to lose 5 lbs.—I lost 10 in 12 weeks…
- to lose an inch in the waist.
- to not get discouraged when things seem down
Here are my stats:
- waist at belly button: 33″ (stomach sucked in)
- waist 4 fingers below belly button: 32.5″
- hips: 38″
- weight: 139
Here are my starting pics. I took measurements and my pics with (sad to say) my abs tight/sucking it in. I figure that my state of relaxation varies and wouldn’t be a good way to measure progress. Besides, I look about 3 months pregnant if I didn’t.

I think all your goals seem reasonable and achievable. Change is hard and discouraging and that is normal, but we (fluffers) will work together in it with support making it easier for each other!
Also, with 42 days in the challenge. 4 cheat meals seem great too! Eating clean 90% of the time with 10% saved for the sinful!
Happy defluffing to you on the first day, my new friend!

Hello, Fellow Fluffer! I’d have to agree with TLC on the cheat meal plan… and your goals seem very attainable for the next 6 weeks! I wish you the best and have a strong, clean-eating week!

This is a great contest, at the right time, and short enough that you can give it your all for the duration. Good luck. BTW I’m planning to be in Buffalo 10/25 and racing at Niagara Falls 10/26. Keep moving forwards.

I am so excited about this challenge and getting to know you! I too tend to get anxious and expect a lot, but remember slow and steady wins the race.

You can do this! You completed BFL and I know you will succeed in the defluffing process. We are all here to support you and you know Juls and I are right around the corner anytime. Good luck!

LJ! This is such a great way to jump start for that 6 pack! We are all gonna rock it! This will be better than BFL–you know what to do and this group is a great support system. I’m so glad we are all fighting the fluff together! Awesome and fun and your goals are really good, reasonable, but still challenging. Great start!

Oh E. wait till you see my prego looking pics, you wouldn’t feel that bad. Girl, you can do it. It’s just six weeks of your life. Give it your all (until you start another 6 :p Don’t think about forever, just think, it’s only six weeks when you are about to put junk into your mouth. You will do well. I know you will.
