Friday Fluff #1

This is my first bodyspace challenge. I am very excited about it but also slightly apprehensive. I tend to expect too much and get very discouraged at the end. If all had gone how I’d hoped with my BFL challenge earlier this year I would have had a 6 pack by now… the small type of "results aren’t typical" was meant for people like me. My result are very slow!

Since this is my first entry for "Fight the Fluff 6 week challenge", I need to post my start photos, goals and measurements.

My goals for this challenge:

  • to eat clean for 6 weeks with 3 cheat meals (my son’s birthday, my birthday and my husband’s birthday) OK maybe 4 - July 4 fits in there. The challenge ends on July 11.
  • to lose 5 lbs.—I lost 10 in 12 weeks…
  • to lose an inch in the waist.
  • to not get discouraged when things seem down

Here are my stats:

  • waist at belly button: 33″ (stomach sucked in)
  • waist 4 fingers below belly button: 32.5″
  • hips: 38″
  • weight: 139

Here are my starting pics. I took measurements and my pics with (sad to say) my abs tight/sucking it in. I figure that my state of relaxation varies and wouldn’t be a good way to measure progress. Besides, I look about 3 months pregnant if I didn’t.

I’m back

So I got this email yelling at me for not posting on this blog… so here I am again. The time I have been spending in front of the computer has been work related and have not had the energy to come here… sorry. This site is consuming! You can easily spend hours browsing other peoples profiles. I knew if I did it would be a complete time suck and as it is now, my eyesight is going due to sitting in front of this damn screen!

Progress - I have none to report other than my backsliding into cake, ice-cream and club crackers. That might be another reason I haven’t been back to the site. Guilt! I hadn’t been to the gym regularly either. I had the privilege to workout with Juls on Friday. It was fun. We pushed each other, getting each other to do more weight or more reps… we’re so competitive.

Tomorrow I will be at the gym early to do cardio and again later with Juls to work weights. I’ve just been so tired after doing the BFL challenge mentally and physically. I really needed to turn the brain off about all this body building stuff.

Now that my goal is impossible to reach I’ve come up with a new one. To have a 6 pack by Juls birthday in October. That should be enough time. We plan on having a 12 pack… Anyone want to join us for having a case? Just 2 more to join the conquest. Anyone? Anyone?

I guess that’s it for now. Thanks yal for emailing me to check on me. It’s nice to know I have friends out there. :)
