Still waiting for the magic
Ok, here I am at the beginning of week 11… Aunt flow is visiting, but not much as far as results. I know she may influence it some… but come on! I only have 11 more days until the end of this challenge. My luck, nothing will happen and I will go into a deep dark hole with lots of chocolate, potato chips, ice-cream, pizza, french fries….
I’ve let my patience grow. Something really needs to happen soon. Flow or no flow! I am physically tired. I’m done already.
Ciao for now.

Sounds to me like you cut your calories too low and your body is fighting against you to hold everything it can. So first off get rid of the idea of going into a hole with all that bad stuff.
You are a healthy person say it out loud to yourself.
GOOD! Now you may not win the challenge that ends in 11 days but you will win other challenges. What are you doing right now for physical activity, calories, and food breakdown (fats, proteins, carbohydrates, sugars, and sodium.) Put it in a new blog so we can all see.

Thanks Big James… I was just whining. I am following the Body for Life Challenge… I’ve been at it for 73 days now. I’ve seen people go through amazing transformations and am just upset that as of right now, mine won’t be amazing… I guess I am the small disclaimer copy that says "*Results not typical."
I’ve been following their diet and exercise routine.

Hmm… well it could be something you are eating remember anything with sugar will spike your GI and cause your metabolism to slow down. I like the Body for Life book and methodology. Also some stuff that says it is sugar free has other stuff in it that will actually be just as bad as sugar. I would stick with sugar free sweetened with Splenda.

I make my own food. Don’t eat anything processed except for whey shakes or protein bars. I use splenda to sweeten anything.

This is exactly what I wrote in one of your previous blogs so, here it is again "LJ, you have to look at this as the start to a new life, not just 12 weeks and you’re done. I’m right there with you, there are days this sucks!!! But it is a change in lifestyle, one I’m assuming you want for the rest of your life. You know I have some of the same struggles as you, we have to start finding the positive, that this is all a LIFELONG goal. We are retraining ourselves from a lifetime of bad habits. You will find your balance (as Juls says) as I am also searching for mine. Stay strong." You will not fall into that deep dark hole, and if you happen to stumble and fall in you have much support to help you back out!

I know that feeling…"I’m done" sprawled out on the mat, tired of situps, tired of getting up early, tired of eating bland food and wanting just one d*** cookie, dreading the next workout as you drive there, wishing you could sleep more or just have one day that you didn’t "feel" every muscle in your body…but-and there’s gotta be one right?!
Look at how far you’ve come, and you want this! You wouldn’t have hung in there this long if you didn’t! And you may be tired right now, but it won’t always be this way…you will get to a point that it becomes automatic, that you do find your balance and what was once such a struggle becomes second nature. It will happen and you can do this–so tell ya what, finish your 12 weeks, take those pictures and let’s see and then–start another 12 weeks. I’ll do it with you! No need to crawl into that hole, take another step up and bury that stinkin’ hole!!! C’mon, you can do it–hear us cheering you on? We are! Hang in there and then seriously, I will do the next round with you if you want to–PM me. If Amyrose is doing it too then we can all do it together. Rock on, girl–you got this!
Be well,
jean

Darling, you are where you are today because you are a health concious person. You are no longer an unconcerned, unaware, emotional eater. If you gorge yourself with salty snacks and bon bons you willl feel sick and guilty afterwards, because that is just not you anymore….so, after the challenge, eat something nice and decadent, but continue with your health conciousness. continue to eat right and excercise. that’s all, eventually things will fall into place.
I know I was so disappointed not winning the BFL myself, but hey, it got my butt on the healthy train so ultimately I did win something. Don’t quite, it would be ridiculous at this point. Finish the race.
