The start of week 8
Two thirds the way done!!! only 4 more weeks left. I can’t wait to see what is in store for my body. If after these 12 weeks I’m still the same, I will go into a MAJOR depression. That’s my back up plan… to just be depressed. BUT I see changes in my body so I know that the next few weeks it will change even more!
Yesterday was my cheat day. I learned from Julofthenile to just cheat. It was my in-laws 50th anniversary dinner so I started out good. Had a salad with chicken and feta with whatever dressing came with. Also had a spinach dip with these great crackers, 3 glasses of wine, cake and ice cream and coffee with french vanilla creamer. YUM! Earlier in the day I was good. Figured I would save it all for the evening. Next cheat, I may go for a burger and fries or something… or maybe I’ll save that for when I am done.
I have to admit that I am tired of oatmeal, eggs, chicken, tuna fish, and brown rice. I really need to find some new recipes. Any suggestions on some of your favorites?
Well, gotta get child 1 off the bus. Everyone have a grand day.

Hey girl, I finally got a chance to read through your blogs! Sorry about the job situatuon, but I am only saying that because I do not know what God has in store for you. Your steps are ordered by Him, so do not worry.
Good for you in coming this far in your transformation. You know what has helped me from sucking back into MAJOR depression, is to recognize that though I am not where I want to be (as yet), I am a whole lot better than I used to be. It’s really helping me to appreciate the hard work I have done so far (albeit on and off). So continue to live the healthy lifestyle and it will all come together.
So how is staying at home going? I wish I can be home, but bills beckons.

Now honestly, are cheat meals saved for one day a week during a clean eating cycle, not just absolutely the best ever? Cheating one day a week accomplishes a few things brilliantly for me: 1. It gives me something to look forward to all week long (eating wise) 2. After my cheat day (which I enjoy immensely), I actually look forward to tying on the clean eating bag for the next week 3. My stagnant metabolism, which is the result of a weeks worth of clean eating, jumps into hyper-drive for a few days after the cheat day 4. That one cheat day has kept my muscles from withering away like they have in the past during extended clean eating cycles….Hope it’s working well for you too…
