New Year coming
It’s hard to believe that the new year is just around the corner. Worst yet, Christmas. Are you ready? My original plan was to start my 12 week transformation for competition in mid January. That was all hinging on my weaning my daughter. I’m letting her decide when to stop, so the competition is put on hold for now. I plan on enjoying my bonding time with my baby girl as long as I can. Soon enough she will be walking and eventually talking back to me so I should enjoy my quiet time with her now.
I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a modified Body for Life. Do all the exercise and diet sans the supplements. I would continue with the protein powder but that would be it. I like the idea of just weight training intensely, three times a week on alternating days with cardio three times a week; of doing just five sets, starting with a set of 12 reps, then increasing the weight and doing 10 reps, adding more weight and doing 8 reps, adding more weight for 6 reps. Then reduce the weight and do 12 reps then immediately performing another set of 12 reps for that muscle group using the second selected exercise. I need to change up my workout. One thing that I have noticed is that I’ve been getting stronger! And best of all, my right shoulder is getting stronger. I’ve always had issues with my right shoulder. It has been super weak. It still bothers me when I workout, not so much when I do shoulders, but when I do other upper body exercises. It really can put a crimp in working out. But happy to say, my shoulders are getting stronger. Hopefully they will continue to get stronger.
My girl Juls keeps telling me to take progress pics. I know that my body hasn’t changed any. I can tell by how my clothes fit…tight. I’m hoping that changing up my routine and adding a lot more cardio I will see some results. I know that I will hold onto some fat due to my nursing, but maybe I can eliminate some of it. I don’t know. I’ve been in this same spot in the past. I look down at my stomach and get so disappointed. My belly will never go away. I have to do something drastic to get rid of it. The last time I lost it I did a 10 day cleanse with lemons, maple syrup and water. I can’t even do that because… I’m nursing. I’m terrified that when I finally stop breastfeeding my body won’t change. That would just REALLY SUCK!!! Ok enough whinning.
So the new year is almost upon us. May you have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful new year. May it be safe and may you have the motivation to continue working out and the fortitude to meet your goals.

Lovejones,
Hey chickie! I just read your post and I have to tell you that while I nursed…it didn’t matter what I did…I never lost any weight. However, when I did stop nursing about a month later the weight just started to fall off of me like nothing at all! Then when I added exercise in on top of that it was miraculous how much my body changed in such a short time. I am sure that your body is changing and you are adding muscle, but your body has it’s own instincts and the number one priority is to make sure to have enough "fuel" to feed your beautiful baby! Trust, my dear, that and a great deal of patience is what you need right now. It will all move and change once your body knows that your baby has what she needs.
Hang in there!
