Sorry for the delay with the chart. Last week I was away on vaca and been working since I’ve been back. Here you go. Lady p and gigispencer… how are you ladies doing? Haven’t heard from you. Way to go to all that still remain. Especially those who haven’t had a cheat! And for those who are out… I hope yall are still going strong eating clean. I admit. I fell off the wagon hard and having a difficult time getting back on. It’s kinda like the scene in Indiana Jones Raiders of the lost ark where Indy falls in front of the truck and gets dragged under it, then behind it and climbs back on it. I haven’t climbed back on yet. I know I eventually will. Just too depressed and my body aches (right shoulder, pain from my elbow to the top of my wrist of my left hand, outside of my left knee aches and I’ve been feeling pressure on my lower back) I will be calling the doc to make an appointment… finally. I usually wait to have a few aliments before calling. Anywho… here is the chart.

Son’s birthday party… I was doing really well until around 3:30…
My son’s party theme was geocaching (treasure hunting with a hand held gps unit) so we went to a local nature reserve to search for a treasure my husband had hidden earlier that day. With all the excitement of getting ready for the day I forgot to eat before we left. We packed trail mix and some water bottles for the kids little adventure. As we were out in the woods I realized how hungry I was and I didn’t have enough water to quench my hunger. I also forgot to feed my girl before we left so I had a screaming one year old on my back as I hiked about a 1/4 mile back to the car to get an apple I brought with me. The apple lead to the trail mix. One bag was probably over 600 calories. It had almonds and peanuts, raisins and m&m’s. Yum! It hit the spot. It just went downhill from there. I didn’t have any of the birthday cookies but I did indulge in a slice of pizza, a chicken finger and some dr. pepper. Sad to say, I’m out. I still plan on eating clean. I will go for a run tomorrow to try and work off the pizza I had. Tomorrow is the family party for my boy. I plan on having a slice of ice cream cake and staying clean the rest of the day. Will need to pack my food in the am.
Hope the rest of you are doing well and for those who are out… stay clean! You may be out of last one standing but your goal is still to get lean so you’ll still need to be eating clean.
Have a great weekend all.

Here is a chart of how we all are doing. If you have had your cheat for the week, just let me know so that I can update the chart. If you’ve over indulged in said cheat… and just kept going, let me know that you are out.

Hello all, I’ve been able to pop my head from my sea of stress for moments here and there. There have been a few casualties in the last man standing. I will post a chart tomorrow so we know who is still in.
My week has been crazy. One moment stressed to the gils, next moment waiting for the wave of work to come back my way.
Re my original 7 mile run last Saturday. It didn’t happen… but this past Tuesday I did run 7.25 miles! My grueling 5 mile run with the hills was changed around some. This time I ran UP a steep hill, down a long slow one, turned around and ran back up that long slow hill and back down the steep hill. My knees hurt after that venture. I am so happy I made it! I went for a short 3 miler today (that used to be my long run) and stopped at the gym to just weigh myself. It’s been some time since I’ve jumped on the scale. Last I remember I was around 137-138. I weighed in at 132.
Yeah. Ok granted it was after a run, but still… the weight is down from before. whoopie!
That’s it for now. I have to get to work. Ugh.

Today is the first day of the challenge and I am stressed out to my eyeballs! I’m stressed, I’m stressed, I’m stressed. Did I tell you I’m stressed? Everything that could go wrong is going wrong. Computer, deadlines… UGH!
Happy to say that nothing illegal has past my lips. Then again I’m too stressed to have time to even look for something to indulge in. Hope to get some pics uploaded soon of my back. Will be doing a long run tomorrow weather permitting, a 7 miler which will be the longest I’ve run since I did a half marathon in 1985! Should be interesting.
Hope all are doing well on their first day. Due to my work load I will not have time to browse around to everyone. Maybe I will be able to squeek a little time after the kiddos go to bed or something. We’ll just have to see. (I have files uploading right now so that is the only reason i can write right now)
Happy Happy

Hello all… I will be the co-captain in the next 2 challenges (Last Man Standing and Baby Got Back) with Julofthenile. I will try to make it to everyone’s blog to see how everyone is doing, and leave a word of encouragement. I will admit up front that I am a girl of few words (sometimes more than others) so just know that I will be checking in on everyone, but not always leaving my mark.
So my main goal is to eat clean these first 3 weeks… I have my oldest’s 7th birthday party and a vacation planned during this time so it will be hard. What will make it more difficult is that I have a LOT of work ahead of me. Lots of deadlines looming so I pray that I don’t crack under pressure and inhale a bag of snickers minis. For the past couple weeks I have been following a diet I picked up from Beverly International. Not sure what the calorie intake is, but is titled "Figure ‘Lose Fat’ Diet Plan A". It starts with complex carbs in the am, snack and lunch; 2nd snack, dinner and the optional 3rd snack, no complex carbs. I would love to go all 3 weeks without a cheat, but I am going to keep that option available. And if I do ingest a quart and a half of Breyers ice-cream (they no longer make half gallons!!! Check it out, same price, less goodness) I will post it up on my blog and count myself out.
Baby Got Back… I’ve got junk in my trunk… my body is more the shape of the original VW Beatle where the trunk is in the front. lol Anywho, this challenge is difficult since it will be hard to decifer progress. I’ve been running 3x a week so that will take care of my bum. I could probably do more hills (speaking of hills, I ran my 5 mile route backwards this morning. So what you ask? There is a massive hill at the end of it, which when done backwards is killer. The hill is about a little over a mile going straight up! I was able to do it in better time then going the other way. The other way is a long slow up hill with the steep downhill towards the end. My legs were screaming at me!) Ok so, back to what my goal will be for this challenge. I’m not working legs since I’ve been running so… I guess I will work on my upper back/shoulders and tris. I’ve got a tiny v taper happenin’ (very tiny) so maybe I can improve upon it.
Well, that’s it for now. I will be poking by your blogs to see what goals you have set out for yourselves. Let the challenge begin… tomorrow

Sorry I didn’t post anything last week (week 5). I was away visiting family. Needless to say, didn’t eat well, didn’t workout (except for running after a frisbee at the beach). The visit consisted of eating and sitting on our duffs playing cards. It was fun. I did make the mistake of working my legs with Juls the day before we left. I was hurting for the next couple days. Sitting in a van for 8 hours was pretty tough.
This past week was pretty rough too. I would start the day doing really well, but by night fall…. CRASH! Not that I pulled out the hoho’s or anything, but I would just indulge in fruit or almonds… too many with craisins and sometimes some dark chocolate m&m’s (not all the time) I DID make it to the gym for cardio or I ran outside. My runs were good. I also did partner bicep curls with Juls @ 40#. My bi’s are still screaming at me. I installed a chinup bar in the doorway into the kitchen. So I do a couple here and there as I walk to and from. I figure if I do a few each time I opened the fridge I can burn a couple calories.
Or maybe I should just do chinups and not open the fridge.
So as far as measurements. I did not take any. All I can say is that I’m pretty sure that the last two weeks brought back some of the fluff I disposed of. Oh well, I will keep moving forward. 3 steps forward, 2 steps back… it’s still 1 step forward right?
Thanks to all for the encouragement. It was great seeing everyones progress and rooting for everyone. This site is awesome and I happy I had the opportunity to take part in this challenge.
So what’s next? Last man standing?

as I deal with de flow. I started this challenge with it, and it has been 4 weeks. Glad to see I am regular. Not that you needed to know that.
I am so bloated right now. The weather is hot and humid. My toes look like sausages and all my joints feel tight. I did measure myself Friday morning and not much change. Positive anyway. Above and below the belly button are the same and gained 1/4 inch at the BB. I guess that is not bad considering my week and the time of the month.
This week was worse than last, not enough water, CRAVING badly and admittedly caving in. Not getting to the gym or out to run. Weather has been yucky rainy and just wasn’t in the mood to go out and be wet and cold. Never fun running in those conditions. Last time I ran, my knees hurt for about the 1st mile. Felt ok after the run but they started bothering me again about an hour after my run. I think it was a combo of the weather and age.
I haven’t really had the opportunity to go to everyones sites to see how you are doing or write anything and I am sorry. Thank you for your words of encouragement. At times I just don’t have many words. Just would rather sit and be quiet and let things move by. So sorry again. I truly hope all have had a good week defluffing, staying clean, getting some good workouts in, sticking to it. My first couple days are usually kinda funky so I am hoping by Monday I am back in the game.
I can’t believe that we only have 2 weeks left so we really need to get on the ball and finish tough!
Have a great week 5, stay cool and stay strong girls! oh and boy
