whats a guy to do?

So to set the scene, i am in my gym having a great workout. Im kicking butt and taking names. I am finishing up my last set with my training partner when out of the corner of my eye i notice a young kid ( okay im young myself but im talking early teens) doing bench press with two much weight and no clamps. I have seen this before and any moment he will get stuck and dump one side of the weights off and then dump the other. I saw a guy break another guys foot like this. I went over before he started his next set an offered to spot him. He agreed and i also put the bar clamps on. He asked why i did that and i explined it was a matter of safety. Anyway he finished up his set and  i went and started my  martial arts  workout.

Next thing i know the manager, a friend of mine, came up and asked what happened with the kid. I told him and he said the kid came in and complained about me interfering with his workout. I told the manager i was just worried about someone getting hurt. He said he understod and went on his way.

So heres my thing. what is up with these kids? They come in ask to change the radio station from rock to pop. don’t rack the weights when their done and leave trash everywhere. I am not perfect, but i have a greater respect for the gym and other people than that. In my job the new guys are call fng’s (FN new guys) because they haven’t earned their place yet. i feel the same way about some of these kids.

anyone try the protein that you cook with? I am also looking for a new kind of protein for after workout drink. It only has to taste good and be about the consistency of milk. I tried Myoplex once lol. Anyone have suggestions

New to here

I am new to here. I have been looking at this site for a while but only now have i had the courage to make a bodyspace and actually post photos. I am working hard to change my life. at on time i was 311 pounds. I would get winded walking around the house. I needed a change.

I got into a new job where i have to be physically fit. I decided to make a change and started doing cardio. I have now switched to doing cardio and lifting weights. I am getting stronger and am really enjoying it. Im currently 239 pounds and still losing.
I also enrolled in Judo at the college for the fall semester. After that i m going to take Krav Maga. Krav is a Israeli  defense forces martial art. It is a combination of several other forms that concentrates on close quarter battle. I have taken karate from the age of 6-13. I loved it but couldn’t afford it. now that im older, God has blessed me with the opportunity to explore the different styles of martial arts.
