I just hope my night class gets out earlier- I want to see the kiddies and their costumes!

Getting up tomorrow to do cardio instead of today.  Had to finish my essay this morning.  Ugh!

Chest, Shoulders, Triceps

Thought you all should know I am enjoying the best protein "ice cream" right now.  ;)   It is made out of egg whites (from carton), a touch of milk and some vanilla ice cream syntha-6.  The egg whites make it more ice cream like.
Okay workout today- kind of tired and felt like I had a cold.  Runny nose, stuffy head, just yuck.  Perhaps it was that crappy test this morning with all the trick questions.  So I didn’t push myself.

Workout
Cable chest press (free motion) 25# 1×15, 30# 3×10 [instead of leaning against the seat, I held myself up with my abs- this was an ab killer!]
Cable lateral raise- plate 1, 3×10
Dips off bench 3×10
Bent over row 10# 3×12
DB Chest Press 15# 1×12, 1×10, 1×12
DB Arnold Press 10# 3×10
Skull Crushers 20# 2×12, 1×10

Felt so yucky and runny nose-ish that I skipped cardio.  I am trying to get a paper finished tonight so I can do cardio tomorrow morning.  Usually, Thursdays are a forced off day meaning I have no time during the morning to work out and in the evening I am flat out pooped.

Happy Halloween everyone!  I wish I didn’t have a class tomorrow night, or I would do something fun!  :(

Because I got picked for Gaspari’s Fit and Lean Stack as a tester!!!  It consists of Intrapro, Cytolean, and Superpump250.  All of which I have heard nothing but good things.  Anyway… I can’t wait!

Thanks for all the comments on the last post!  I wish there was a way that the site emailed me when someone posts on my blog…  hm I see an options tab on here, so I will check it it out.

Today is shoulders, chest, and cardio.  I will be back!  ;)

Exhausted!

So Thursdays I am always exhausted.  It is like my Friday at school.  Wed I have classes from 11am to 9pm with a couple breaks in between.  And today I have a 3 hour class that makes your ass hurt from sitting for so long.

I wanted to do a HIIT session yesterday morning but didn’t have the energy.  Instead, I did a fasted 35 min fast walk with the dog.  When she stopped to pee I did jumping jacks.  Sometimes she just finishes peeing and stares at me like I am crazy.  My dog is embarrassed by her owner!  Haha.

So I made a goal of getting up to do a cardio session at the gym this morning and woke up totally pooped.  Another fast walk with the dog- not as vigorous though.  The knee is hurting. Ugh!  I do tons of walking all day to class with a heavy backpack- not that it counts as cardio or anything.  But still.  it’s heavy.

Tomorrow will be leg day at the gym.  I can’t wait for this evening.  I come back and sit.  Then sleep.  and feel all better on Friday!   :)

Well, first off, I am very excited that I decided to go with Golds.  They ended up being really helpful and cut off some of my enrollment fees.  I got to add on BF too for close to nothing.  The girl liked the fact that I used the free weights because she said it ‘draws’ guys into that area. haha.  Bf is excited about that I am sure…

On another note… I think I caught the competition bug.  I have always thought it would be a fun experience, but I never believed I could lose the body fat.  Building the shape and symmetry isn’t my biggest problem.  I would do all that myself because, uhh well I am selfish.  Haha.  just kidding.  I am controlling though.  Ok I feel better- I admitted that.

Yeah but getting the diet right for me would be my downfall.  And I don’t know if I could pay someone for that.  Then there is learning how to pose and prep, etc.  Oh gosh.  Why do I find things that are complicated?!  :)

Shoulder, Triceps, and Chest:
Cable Chest press- 20# 1×20 (warm up), 30# 1×8 1×10
Lateral Raise- 5# 1×12 1×10, 10# 1×10
Dips off bench- 1×9, 1×12, 1×10

Biceps, Back, Abs

Pull Downs (not sure of weight here- weight #5 on the machine) 3×10
Preacher curl 10# 3×12
DB row 15# 3×12
Lat pull down- freemotion 35# 1×12, 45# 2×10
Cable Crunch (weight #3) 3×20
30 mins moderate-intense cardio.  I did intervals here, but nothing like HIIT

The workout felt good.  Still getting back into a routine and I just wrote one up today.  I think I could have added some more exercises today for biceps and back.  My arms get really pumped up, but not always fatigued.  I am not ready for 15#s on every exercise for biceps though…

I am getting up for morning cardio tomorrow.  I ended up getting the Eat Clean Diet cookbook because there were so many good recipes!  I know some gals on here don’t like Tosca Reno, but she has come up with some good recipes in this book!  I am using a twist of her slow cooking oats overnight.  I told my parents there breakfast would be waiting for them in the crockpot in the morning.  Kids these days.  They run off with their coffee and cereal every morning!  Not tomorrow though… :D

My dad’s cholesterol has not been good though.  I am set to change that.  They are just lucky enough to live with me… that’s all I have to say. ;)

Leggies are sore

I love this feeling!  Plus, I felt like I went too easy on them yesterday.  But at the same time I was babying my right knee.  I have been having some random pain in it lately.  I think it could be a small tear in my meniscus.  It has the sharp pain feeling and is in the same area that got darted in my 2nd ACL surgery.

I always feel like I do nothing all week but go to the gym, school, and work.  On the weekends I don’t really do anything…  I mean I like parties.  Good ones you know.  Not college ones.  I am sick of those.  (And I went to like 4 or so while I lived on campus)  :P

I am supposed to meet with a girlfriend of mine tonight but she wants to go to a bunch of places that invlove dressing up etc.  Blahhhhh.  I want to watch movies in sweats.  and eat oatmeal and egg whites.  haha

So, it was a cheat meal :)   I swear there was more cheese in that tortilla soup than I expected.  I had a handful of chips too.  I’m so bad. ;)

I am proud of myself though.  I kept everything under control- I left feeling full, but not stuffed.  I have eaten well this week and sometimes when I get a really bad sweet craving I use a bit of SF choc pudding with skim milk and cottage cheese.

I need to go to bed.  I have to teach pilates in the morning! night all!

Goin’ with Golds

So I think I am going to sign with Gold’s Gym.  I went back and talked to a different gal who gave me student rates.  I have been working out there since Tuesday and I love it.  It’s a quiet gym, smaller than the mainstream 24 and Lifetime.  Only, now I hope they get a few more memberships, because it seems there are hardly enough people there to keep it open. I already checked the contract and it said if the gym does close and there is not a gym within 6 miles of that location, then I can terminate the membership.  So, I’m good.  ;)

Did a leg workout today- lets see if  I can remember everything:

Hack squat- 50# 3×15
Good mornings 20# 3×15
Wide stance squat (plates under heels) 1×15, 15# 2×15
Leg extension 50# 1×10, 35# 1×12, 1×15
Calf raises- bodyweight
Flutter kicks off bench (hittin the hammies and glutes) 2x 45  - I just counted these out.  They do burn!

Cardio: 20 mins total
- 15 mins on stair master
- 5 mins on elliptical
AND!  I mowed the yard.  I am done for the day.  haha.  Tonight I am going to eat at Luna de Noche.  No cheat meal.  Staying clean- will opt for the fajitas.  I love their chicken- it hardly ever has any fat on it.  Maybe I will have tortilla soup…  it needs to get cold though!
