I just finished a back and biceps workout followed-up by some rotator cuff work. Feeling pretty good. Training has been great lately. I managed to get in four jiu jitsu classes this week and four last last week, so I’m happy about that. Jiu jitsu is a great workout, really gets the heart going. The rotator cuff has been alright. It’s about 80% of full strength, so I still have to keep up with the rehab work.

My diet is tight again. I had fallen off the diet wagon for about a month, but I’ve already lost 5 of the 10lbs I gained. No excuses, it’s my fault that I got sloppy for a month. At least the damage was limited.

I haven’t been on in a while. I have a partial tear of my right rotator cuff, which has really derailed my training. I’ve been rehabing the shoulder for the past two months and will hopefully get the green light to train from my doctor next Monday. I’ve been working around the injury, but you don’t realize how much training means until you have an injury. All things considered this is a minor injury, but still a royal pain in the rear.

I haven’t posted anything in a while. The training and diet have been consistent. My strength is up, as is my endurance. I’ll be joining a new gym shortly so I’ll have access to much more equipment, which will be a nice luxury. I’ll still train with my weights at home, but I need some more variety to keep things interesting. It’s especially difficult to hit calves with free weights alone.

As odd as it sounds I’ve never been to a bodybuilding contest, so I’m going to see a couple this summer that are in my area. I’m very curious to see a live contest and the level of competition.

Just finished working out. I have to say that the total body training is really working out for me. My diet has been spot on and I’ve lost a good amount of weight so far this year. I’ll be honest I think that the dieting is tougher in some ways than the training. I’m hoping to do well in the Muscle Tech contest. I don’t know if the 25 lbs I lost will be enough, we’ll see. I hope to drop a few more before the deadline. Either way the results are worth the effort.

I just finished training and had a nice workout. I’ve started a total body training program based on Chad Waterbury’s philosophy. I’m down to 182, which is a 23 lbs weight loss since Jan 1st. I’m pretty happy, but I’m still looking to drop a couple more pounds.
