I just finished a brief, but intense workout. It really centers on the deadlift and then abs. I was able to hit 355lbs for a double, which is a new PR for me.
The diet is good, but I cut out nuts. They’re just a trigger food for me. Once I start eating them, I can’t stop.

I had another late night workout. For me that’s anything past 9pm. I am just not at my peak at that time. Today was shoulders and forearms. I completed the workout, but couldn’t get into a rthym. I really wanted to take a pass on the workout, but I know how important consistency is for success. I’d rather have an ok workout than no workout at all.

I had to really push to get through my workout today. I have been up since 5am and got out of work late. I was pretty tired, but I didn’t want to miss my leg workout. I had enough energy in the beginning to hit a PR in squats and increased my weight on thigh extensions. Even leg curls I eked out a couple of extra reps over the last workout, but I was shot by the time I hit calves. All in all, I’m glad I was consistent and did not skip the workout. That being said lifting past 9pm is just too late for me.

I had a nice and exhausting Muay Thai workout today. I don’t do a lot of direct cardio and rely on the Muay Thai training for that fitness aspect. It is pretty high intensity, so I think it is sufficient. That being said I do one pure cardio session a week on top of the Muay Thai. I would do more, but I just don’t have enough time. I do four lifting sessions, two Muay Thai and one cardio per week. I just can’t schedule anymore time.

Today is a rest day. I needed it though. Six days in a row of lifting and cardio.
Diet hit a minor bump today. Nothing major, but I snack on small amounts of mixed nuts to keep the cravings down and went a little overboard. I ate about 1 1/2 cups of nuts. Not the end of the world, but a mental lapse.

I trained Muay Thai today, which consists of pad work, calisthetics, drills and ab work. I had a nice workout and was pretty fatigued. Tomorrow will be a well deserved rest day.
Today was a carb day for me. I’m carb cycling and every few days I have a carb day. I really prefer the low carb days to high carb days. I just like eating lean meats, eggs, nuts and salads.

I am in my 24th day of the Muscle Tech contest. I’ve been using Hydroxycut and Creakic with decent results. Although at the end of the day it’s the training and diet that matter the most. I just had a balls to the wall back and tricep workout. I trained very heavy (for me) and got a great pump. The diet is going well. I’ve stuck to it and haven’t cheated.
Tomorrow is Muay Thai, which I am psyched about. The academy had a pipe burst so there was no Muay Thai training last week, although I did do cardio to make-up for it.

I had a pretty good chest workout, but while training my biceps I had a pain in my upper back. It was a sharp pain in my upper back/neck area. Very wierd. I had to switch to concentration curls because hammer curls and standing barbell curls hurt my back. I hope this is nothing serious. The pain passed, but I’m a bit worried. Tomorrow is back and triceps, so we’ll see how that goes.

Today was abs and cardio. A good way to finish out the week. I was drenched at the end of the workout.
Hope everyone else in the contest is doing well and having success.

Not one of my best training days. I hit a PR in deadlifts, but that totally wiped me out for the rest of my workout. After deads I did an abbreviated shoulder workout, just 10 sets. That’s all I could manage.
Also, the scale is not my friend. Since my initial weight loss I’ve seen nada.
