IT’S TIME TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE

So you really want to look hot, chiseled and ready for the Summer?  Time is ticking.  Every day that goes by is a day closer to beachtime.   Me?  I am totally ready to slip on my crazy, cheesy, Corona bikini.

So here are some steps to take if you are ready to get hardcore and get that body into prime beach shape:

1.  Change your eating– clean it up.  Increase your protein intake if you aren’t up to 1 gm per pound that you weigh (as long as you are lifting weights and getting that cardio in)

2.  Increase your cardio (sheds the fat) and intensify your weight routines.  If you are lifting and aren’t pushing those muscles to the max, those gains won’t come quickly.

3.  Drink more water.

4.  Don’t look at the scale– it only measures total body weight and doesn’t differentiate between fat and muscle weight.

5.  Keep your motivation and your focus.  Missing workouts and eating bad will set you back, but if you drop the ball, quickly jump back into the game.

6.  Pick a goal:  is it a bikini?  going to the beach/lake without a shirt on (guys) lol.  Is it to lose 5 lbs for a reunion? Get back into pre-pregnancy shape?  Whatever it is, it totally can be done!

I have gone through the spectrum of workouts… group classes, running, dieting, etc.  What did it take?  The strong desire to get into an itty bikini.  I bought a bikini, kept trying it on until I felt comfortable enough to wear it.  From there, I just took off with HUGE motivation.  Seeing results come, working hard in the gym and more importantly, changing up my eating habits made significant breakthroughs for me.  I need no motivation to make it to the gym– I just do it.  Every day brings on new challenges and new progress.  What is NOT to love??

It’s the delicious taste of progress that makes you strive for more!

Keep training hard!  :)
