Ever had one of those workouts when you left completely satisfied with each exercise you did? Where you felt that your motion was right on – not too fast, not too slow? And even better, when you are seeing your muscles twitch and the lineage pop as your moving that muscle? Ahhhhhh….. love that!
I had such an awesome delt workout… The easiest part of my body to build and sculpt. Funny, when your muscles really start to take shape, even without flexing, it is so cool! I’m sure as guys, they’re used to it, but for women, it is hard to build up to that point. I love having strong upper body that I have caught women looking at my shoulders and arms. I didn’t realize at first why…. but then it dawned on me that my arms are taking shape and they obviously notice the curves of my arms!
I’ve moved up in weights to get it to transform quicker but yet, the pure joy I get is when I see how my traps have developed. The simple task of just "throwing" in a couple cases of bottled water in my car and it not being heavy for me is pretty cool.
Although I am almost at my goal (haven’t tested my bf yet again since March), abs are still my priority and then really focusing on my back. I love to wear halters that show my back, the strength and sexiness that goes along with that… (soft definition).
I have met many small goals in my journey so far…… lowering my cholesterol from 238 to 200; enjoying to run (hated it at first, and would be exhausted after a few minutes of it); increasing my stamina in running with sprinting; losing 20 pounds; dropping bf by probably 10% so far (i estimate i may be at 19 or 18); just plain getting up at 5:15 a.m. to be at the gym; and completely changing my eating habits… eating clean.
I never realized what commitment it took to really be in tune with the whole regimen. I laugh at what I used to eat and what I actually thought was "healthy". Eating small meals throughout the day fuels me and never leaves me hungry. Friends are surprised at how much I eat throughout the day. It has been nice to have friends ask me what to eat and what to do at the gym. Its not a secret…… just have to take baby steps at being disciplined.
Keep training hard!
