BEST LAWYER STORY OF THE YEAR ! Charlotte, North Carolina. A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against, among other things, fire. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued.. and WON ! Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous.
The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company, which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable fire" and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars lost in the "fires". NOW FOR THE BEST PART.. After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON (Arson is the crime of deliberately and maliciously setting fire to structures or wildland areas.) With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine. This is a true story and was the First Place winner in the recent Criminal Lawyers Award Contest.

I have been sooo busy! My workouts are back on track and I’m pushing even harder now that I’ve gained back most of my strength. I have had a wonderful friend that has helped me get motivated again…I’m grateful for that!!
I will be in active for awhile due to lack of time to be on the internet. So please don’t think I’m ignoring you or have no interest in your journeys….I do…I will peek in from time to time and check on you…I just won’t be able to contact everyone personally until my schedule lightens up. I really need to use my down time to recover. Thank you to those of you who feel I inspire, because I don’t feel I deserve that kind of honor…but I do appreciate it truly!!
When I come back I will hopefully have a transformed body that I can be proud to share with you!! Peace
God Bless!! I love you guys!!!

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
‘Well,’ she said, ‘I think I’ll braid my hair today.’
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
‘H-M-M,’ she said, ‘I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.’
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that she had only one hair on her head.
‘Well,’ she said, ‘today I’m going to wear my hair in a pony tail. ‘
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that there wasn’t a single hair on her head.
‘YAY!’ she exclaimed.
‘I don’t have to fix my hair today!’
Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle..
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly,
and pray continually.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…
It’s about learning to dance in the rain.
Don’t cry because it’s over,
Smile because it happened.

Be careful with what you cheat with!! Just thought I’d pass on the latest info for you fast food lovers.
Check out these CRAZY-HIGH-CALORIE new fast foods
Burger King - Steakhouse Burger
950 calories, 59g fat, and 55g carbs!
You may as well have an actual steak if you’re going to consume this many calories! Why is this burger so insanely fatty? Well there’s the 368-calorie, 29-gram-of-fat patty, mayo, two slices of cheese, and a HUGE pile of fried onions… all on a massive doughy bun. NOT WORTH IT.
Carl’s Jr. - The Kentucky Bourbon Six-Dollar Burger
970 calories, 49g fat, and 81g carbs!
You know that annoying ad campaign with the surgeon who thinks about bourbon all day long? Yeah, it’s funny, but the idea of a medical professional (actor or not) chowing down this monster burger makes us cringe a little. A single sandwich with nearly 1,000 calories is soooo wrong. And not in that "so wrong it’s right" kinda way. It’s just wrong.
Jack in the Box - Mini Sirloin Burgers
748 calories, 29g fat, and 77g carbs!
For those of you wandering around singing, "Yippee-ai-ay, Mini Sirloin Burgers!" to yourself, you’re not alone. But DON’T be seduced into chewing on these teeny burger-ettes. Sure, you get three of them, but they’re REALLY little, so you’re probably going to want fries and a soda with ‘em. You’re better off riding into the sunset with a Chicken Fajita Pita (328 calories and 10g fat).
Wendy’s - Coffee Toffee Twisted Frosty
540 calories, 20g fat, and 83g carbs!
If the thought of adding coffee syrup to a Wendy’s Frosty is enough to send you into a full-on swoon, brace yourself. And if your dreams are speckled with chocolate-covered toffee bits, prepare to pinch yourself. As good as this all sounds, it comes with a hefty price tag. This shake has more calories than the Triple Stack burger, which has three beef patties and three pieces of cheese. Fantasy OVER.
Taco Bell - Volcano Box
1,380 calories, 76g fat, and 133g carbs!
Why does this box need to exist? Does ANYONE need to eat a meal that consists of a double-beef burrito, two tacos, and a pack of Cinnamon Twists?! Do yourself a favor and stick to the Fresco Menu at The Bell, and don’t consume most of your calories for the day in a single meal!

I have had a really devastating week, I don’t wish to share any details….however I learned a few truths about myself and it was really hard to accept. I have been in a relationship/marriage for the past 31 years and I ended it…I have had very little social life all these years as I was devoted to my relationship….when I got a taste of freedom I didn’t know how to handle it….kind of like a kid…I did some things that probably weren’t the wisest to do, I made some not so smart choices and it cost me a beautiful friend as well as my self respect….I paid to high a price! I couldn’t handle anything so I went to see one of the pastors at church, I’m so glad I did…he helped me put things into perspective and helped me see what I was doing to myself…it was very hard for me to admit and a very humbling experience…I have tried to explain to my friend and I did apologize…I don’t know if I’ve been forgiven or not, I do know that I am still trying to forgive myself….life is so hard and painful at times, but I have picked myself up and brushed myself off because I have to keep trying to get it right….everything that life is is a gift…even the hard lessons….and I know from experience that without pain there can be no growth….my biggest problem was that I was trying not to feel the pain, I guess that’s part of being human too. So now I will work hard at improving myself, not just my body…because what good is a rockin bod if everything else is not healthy?! God willing I will be healthy enough and ready to compete in 2010!!

Prescribed by the Great Physician *****************
The next time you feel like GOD can’t use you, just remember…
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer..AND
Lazarus was dead!
Now! No more excuses!
God can use you to your full potential.
Besides you aren’t the message, you are just the
messenger.
And one more thing…Share this with a friend or
two…
In the Circle of God’s love, God’s waiting to use your
full potential.
?
1. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
2. Dear God, I have a problem, it’s Me.
3. Growing old is inevitable .. growing UP is
optional.
4. There is no key to happiness. The door is alwa ys
open.
5. Silence is often misinterpreted but never
misquoted.
6. Do the math .. count your blessings.
7. Faith is the ability to not panic.
8. Laugh every day, it’s like inner jogging.
9. If you worry, you didn’t pray . If you pray,
don’t worry.
10. As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling
home everyday.
11. Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be
bent out of shape.
12. The most important things in your house are the
people.
13 When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15 He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
Have a great day!!! The SON is shining and he
can certainly use you!

Just an update….I’ve been off all supplements now since the 8th and boy can I tell!! LOL Workouts are a little tougher and my energy level is not quite up there. The only part about it that bothers me is being off the glucosamine and chondroitin because I can feel the tightness starting in my wrist again. Thank goodness it’s only for a short time! Ha Ha I will have surgery the 21st of July(don’t ask! LOL), so can resume all supps after. I will be restricted with no lifting for one month, then no more than 5lbs for a few weeks…will gradually increase of course.
I have been really busy with work etc. lately but have been using my late nights to re-evaulate my situation and my goals, both on a personal and proffessional level. I have decided that I WILL COMPETE in 2010!! I will not listen to any negative comments regarding people’s opinion about whether or not I can be ready…MY OPINION IS THE ONE THAT COUNTS! I fully intend to take 2009 out with a bang and bring in 2010 with not only attitude but a kick ass body!! JUST WATCH ME!! LOL
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! God Bless!!

I don’t have a computer anymore so can only get on when I’m at work for a short time or at a friend’s. I have been struggling to survive lately and still keep up with my workouts. My divorce is up coming and at the moment I am "homeless" lol….I’m trying to find employment that will pay enough for me to support myself and hopefully be able to get an apt. I have to have surgery July 21st (I will not go into that!), I also have a new lump in my left breast, but we’re not to concerned at the moment…I just need to watch it for any changes. I also found out last night that my favorite Uncle was diagnosed yesterday with esophageal cancer..he has never smoked…he has 4 months max to live! I am going to try to go see him as he’s been vacationing in Minneasota but is in the hospital right now. My daughter has an appoint. this morning for a biopsy and we’ll know more in a week…this has been one hell of a YEAR! But in spite of everything I’m keeping my spirits up…just wish I had some friends or family to draw some strength from. I really don’t have either so I will continue to lean on God, that’s the only constant in my life.
I wish everyone a wonderful day and keep training hard! God Bless!!
