Wednesday was my Cardio/Rest day. I usually do Cardio then Abs and call it a day. I usally take an outdoor run for about 3-4 miles or hit the cardio room at the gym… Treadmill, or Cycle, or stair climber. Or a mixture of all 3. So yesterday I got the gym earlier than usual. So i decided to work my Abs first (as suggested by HACK SQUAT’s Blog. thanks dude). I did 3 sets of Weighted sit-ups with a 35 lb. plate till failure, then 3 sets of hanging leg raises with a 10 lb dumbbell between my feet, and then I threw in 3 sets of some cable cruches… all sets done to failure. So it was on to cardio… I noticed that there was a spinning class just about to start when I finished my Abs…. I said why the hell not , its cardio right?. So I went in… I realsied the instructor was a friend of mine (a crazy SOB) so I tried to turn out but he saw me so I was trapped. Oh well .. lets do it! , I thought. Set up my spin bike and hopped on … only to hear that hes doing a 45 minute hill climb… hahahaha… Now dont get me wrong… I never run from a workout… but I knew with this guy we were in for hell. Within the first 15 mins of the class i was dripping wet with sweat… feeling the burn of the out of saddle sprints and the tension increases as we got further up the hill. After the 45 mins my legs were gelly and I looked like I went swimming. I was feeling good however, despite the cursing in my head on what a bad decision i had made..lol. But it was good. At then end of the day I hit my Abs hard and got good a cardio workout… gym time well spent. Today is chest … stay tuned.
