FINALLY CERTIFIED!!!!!

WOW. i took my NASM test this past Thursday, Oct.16th…i was so nervous about this one. mainly bc i had 120 days to study and thoroughly learn the course (not a big deal, i know), however, i was working 2 jobs, sometimes 16 hour days…leaving very little time to study. I had planned on extending the package for some additional time to study and prepare…THEN!!…a blessing disguise!!…the lamer (lol) of the two jobs had let me go (thank god!) and here i am with a week to study. i figure, cram cram cram!, study up!, that way, i can get certified and not have to worry about having a crappy boring second job that will take me nowhere…3 full days into studying and only getting through 4 (out of 17 chapters), i became discouraged :( but i figured i would try my best, study as much as my brain can handle, and at least take the test as a preparation for the "next one"…but instead…I PASSED!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!! WHAT A RELIEF. It wasnt easy i will tell you that! But i am very much looking forward to opening new doors and discovering new opportunities in the fitness world!!! I feel very accomplished right now…life is good :)

….and hating it! Somehow I let myself fall into this stinkin rut!

Well, I spent some time moving to a new state and allowed myself to take it easy for a minute (a month or so). Not totally easy though; I have been hiking in the mts, riding my bike, skateboarding, playing frisbee and LOTS of walking, everday. And it’s all been great! Now, I want to get back in the gym and start majorly toning my body. I need to start on weights again, as well as adding cardio to burn this fat off. For some reason, it just doesn’t sound fun!…and I’m having a hard time motivating myself to get back into it. (On top of that, have you ever quit working out and became depressed? It seems I’m struggling with that too, which only makes things HARDER!).

I know that once I get back into the swing of things, all will be well, it’s just getting over that initial HUMP :) lol hehe… just thought i could use some advice from all you wonderful bodyspacers!! Thanks, have a beautiful day!

Hello all! I am completely stoked right now bc I ordered my Personal Training Certification package from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)!!!! I have a 120 days from the order date to take (and PASS!!!) the exam! I am very nervous. My only concern is having enough hands on training with people, (other than myself). Fortunately, I work at the wonderful Colorado Athletic Club Downtown in Denver, and I have spoke with the other trainers here, and i’m more than sure they are willing to help :) Wish me luck! hey whats up?! so…… long story short, i had a job that took up waaaay to much of my time. basically ALL of my workout time. I was miserable bc I literally couldnt/didnt work out for about 2-3 months. Anyways!….. I quit that damn job, and now have lots of time for the gym!! I’ve been goin solid for 8 weeks now. Keepin track of EVERY last detail of EVERY workout. I’m so ****in motivated!!! I’m moving back to Denver at the end of may, and I want to look SMOKIN when I get there!! That means focusing like I have been on the next several weeks. My main "mission" is my ass right now. I want an ass. Plain and simple. I’m very lean and naturally thin, with NO ASS!! Although, in the 8 weeks I have been working on it, I have noticed progress!! there is slighty more muscle there than before, which is ****ing amazing!!! come on ass! grow grow grow!! lol. ok, i cant post new pictures bc my bf stole the computer and moved 1200 miles away with it. maybe soon. ttyl!

Long lost me……

So, wow it has been so long since i have stepped into the gym. About 2-3 months I would say. TOO LONG regardless! Anyways, I’ve recently quit my job that sucked the life out of me. I was unhappy and I’m sick of wasting my beautiful life being unhappy. I have a new job, and with this new job, I shall have more time to work out. Wish me luck!

ok, now that everyone has given me their response, I am STILL confused! I have no idea #1-what to take PRE workout. I’ve heard no-xplode is great, for guys. Im not sure I want to take it, is there anything else? PRE workout, some extra energy would be great! #2-what to take POST workout. Some of you say Whey, some of you say Creatine. So who’s right? I need a straight up answer. I’ve been doing tons of research and nobody can CLEARLY answer my question. I want simple answers. (PS: I am looking to build a little muscle, I DO NOT WANT TO LOOK LIKE A MAN! thanks to whoever can help me!!!

What supplements should I be taking?

Ok, so, I’m sort of having a hard time figuring out what kind of protien/supplements I should be taking. My goal is to gain muscle, and keep it on. but not too much muscle. i want to maintain a lean figure. Also, a little more energy before my workouts would be nice. Im not down with crazy caffeine diet pills and shit like that. So, something pre/post workout? vitamins too? lemme know, thanks!
