Hi…
First thing I would say is, how many calories is that all? … and do you know how many calories you personally need to maintain your current body weight (BMR).
That’s what you need to workout first of all, once you know that you can apply a 15% - 20% calorie deficit.
You should also make sure each meal is about 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat….. but this is just from my personal experience, I live this day in and day out, check my profile and you be the judge
Anyway, also more info and the book I read available at www.sugartreeplus.net
Hope that helps!
Cheers

Hi thanks for that - it all sounds way complicated, how do i work out the calories on everything? thats the reason i tend to go off track - i work full time and have 3 kids so its crammng everything into the week i find hard - i just need a simplified meal plan that will work… cheers

I think your diet looks good to me.
I have 3 kids too and the thing that helped me most was to keep my diet simple and not worry about counting calories.
You can look at my blog to see what I ate. Basically for lunch I’d have a lean protein (1 whole chicken breast or 6 oz. of fish OR a can of tuna) with a cup or 2 of vegetables and the same for dinner. About twice a week, I’d add in a sweet potato or rice (brown is better, but I ate white too). I only had a slice of whole wheat toast for breakfast most mornings with my eggs (sometimes I replaced the toast with a 1/2 cup of plain oatmeal), but other than that I totally cut out bread along with pasta.
AND I NEVER HAD A CHEAT DAY OR MEAL. That is what will get you the fastest results!!
I lost 13 pounds in 30 days using that diet along with 30 minutes of cardio no less than 3 days a week with the goal of burning 500 calories per session, but there were times I only burned 300.

The things you listed look good, but like Thespringbuck said, check the calories. I’d be concerned also that you may not get sufficient protein in if you chose the alternatives to the protein shakes. That and since the body can’t store amino acids, except for hard earned muscle, all the more important to make sure you’re getting the protein in each time you eat including snacks. Again, all the foods you listed are great, but might wanna shuffle them around a bit after totaling up where the calories and macros fall. Great start!

Thanks all, im thinking of ‘fiddling’ around with it a bit - like perhaps tuna with water, how do u lot eath the egg whites - just make em up like scrabled eggs coz i really dont hitnk i could eat em raw

There are a couple ways. Usually I make them scrambled, yes. For an off-season diet I’ll still use a few whole eggs ’cause they’re good fats and omegas in ‘em but I’ll add a couple tbsp of picante sauce and a little shredded cheese to the mix. Or, if you’re using liquid egg whites that come prepared and pasteurized try mixing 1 scoop of protein with a 50/50 mixture of the whites and water for the same total volume you’d make the shake with. It’ll add a thicker creamy texture to the shake without having to use whole milk and those liquid whites are safe to ingest uncooked. Personally, I use Egg Whites International (you can order them on bb.com) for a much better value.
