This past month & year….

So hear it is…some of you may know that this year 2009 has been crazy for me. I was out of work for about 7 months(like millions of others) and at first I thought this is perfect I can totally focus on training but little did I know it was the worst thing for me. I began to dread going to the gym, hated having to do 2 sessions of cardio, hated it all…when for the past 3 years this has been my life..and a huge passion of mine for so many reasons. So I finally get a job in June 2009 its part time working crazy early hours, but beggars cant be choosers right? right so I found myself working at 4am making a few cents more than minmum wage. FYI I am the last person in the world that is a morning person let alone a 4am hahaha but I learned to adjust and deal with this situation god has for me. So needless to say this year has been rough for training for shows, even more now since I am full time which is great (thank you god) but I still work crazy early and trying to fit in 2 cardio sessions has me getting up at 2am mon-friday which I can handle since I go to bed at like 7. I guess recently I have just been super down on myself since I havent gotten my ass on stage, yet I put in the time!!! Im trying to find that overall balance…am I insane for wakin up at 2am going to work from 5-1:30 then hitting weights and cardio later??? I just need to remember this is only temporary with my schedule….but its so dam hard sometimes…..

Stadium Status

So for my 4 week out contest prep cardio sess I have been splitting up my workouts at my old highschool stadium stairs. I will run the stairs followed by box jumps up the entire stadium. I nearly died after I reached the top! What a flippin’ burn though. Then I jog down the stairs and do walking lunges followed by squats. I repeat this about 5x for a total of 6 ! So far I am lovin how my legs and ass feel haha, I tend to carry my weight in my thighs and butt like most females. I dare you to try it:)
