I can never go back . . .
Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008to eating "un-clean"! Never! I ditched my diet, the gym, and all healthy eating last week and by Sunday I had never felt worse! I was craving clean food like crazy. Sometimes I feel silly obsessing over food and spending hours at the gym with no time to clean my house or do laundry or watch t.v., but there’s just really no way I could go back to "regular" life! I had so much free time on my hands without the gym. I did it because I had been on my diet for 2 weeks and had been doing loads of extra cardio for about 5 weeks and I didn’t lose one pound. I was totally frusterated. Especially because I lost weight last year by doing less cardio and eating more calories. SO I had to figure this out! Was I eating too little? Or not enought carbs? (I was only eating about 100 grams of carbs a day). Or not doing enough intense cardio? Or just not really sticking to the diet? (which I admit). Randomly, I checked out this month’s issue of FLEX magazine and found this great (I think it’s great) 12-week diet plan! Yes, it’s for a man, so some changes need to be considered, but it cleared up some of my confusion. And I decided that I needed to incorporate more HIIT cardio. So my new plan is 3 HIIT sessions and 2 longer/steady sessions. I think I have a metabolism that needs it ’s a** kicked into high gear!
I bought my shoes, which are a little interesting, but really easy to walk in! I practiced some poses and now I’m really thinking about how to work my budget so that I can do an NPC show. I want to show the muscle I’ve tried so hard to build! Especially in my back. I just need to figure out a way to find 2 cheap figure suits!
So I was all ready to hit the gym this week after my week of gluttony, but my body let me down and I’m totally sick. I haven’t been sick since winter. Plus, I’m sick with something weird. Like the flu, but not. And I went to gym last night anyway, but that just made me feel worse. So Now I’m sitting AGAIN on the sofa watching tv that is lame. TV is lame, I think. Except for WORK OUT! Which I just remembered is on right now and I’m going to watch it!
