"Stress inducing" relatives left today. Cats decided to express their dislike being overlooked. Someone…or should I say somecat did its business & NOT cover it with the litter crystals. PHEW!! What a greeting when I got back. I am very sure that was a sign of protest for not keeping it as clean as they want it.

but still so much to do.
Anyway here’s a smile for the day :
A relative staying with us for just 3 nites & is driving me up the wall. She tries to be helpful and this morning she outdid herself in all aspects. I left a bag of trash just outside the main door last night, didn’t want to venture out of the compound so late. Thought I would drop that into the garbage cabinet once I cleared the cat litter this morning. She beat me to it…only …I found it, yes the bag of garbage …and thank goodness it was just trash from my office & NOT from the kitchen….
IN THE MAIL BOX
when I tried to retrieve the morning papers!!!!!

I walked 3 km yesterday morning. Then when I got back I vacuumed & mopped 2 living areas, 3 bedrooms, 1 home office, 1 kitchen (definitely NOT a kitchenette!!!) and 1 laundry room. Oh yeah, a flight of stairs, too. Tell me if I was mad ? Or crazy?? To top it off I was overtired & couldn’t sleep properly getting to bed by well past 11 pm and getting up at 6 am to prepare breakfast for my little girls, send them to school and went on to another walk but I only lasted 2.4 km.
I guess it is ONE of those days…lol
p.s. No, I don’t feel any thinner. In fact the lack of good sleep is making me feel rather restless.

Nope. I didn’t get to mop the floor. I only managed as far as removing things from the floor & vacuuming. The two little girls managed to make a "stable" out of the living room with one huge cushion complete with one of their baby quilts. Moved the furniture around to create an enclosure. Put heavily pregnant Cosy into the brand new walk-in litter box & surprisingly made her stay inside. For a while I thought that cat didn’t know to push the flap & get out of it. Then I found out she waited till girls are out of sight before attempting her escape!!! Looks like I will only be able to clean when girls are in school in the morning.
p.s. And no, it wasn’t that bad. I wasn’t bothered to lose my temper….lol

You must have had at least one of these days if you live with kids. There you go all geared up to tidy up & clean but as you go along you suddenly realize the faster you pick up & yeah, you thought you just picked up THAT pencil or THAT plush toy and it is there lying nicely on the floor just as you zoom out with your vacuum cleaner. Or just when you thought you are done with vacuuming and it was time to bring out that wet mop and you see shreds of tissue paper scattered all the way from upstairs down…..like a trail and when you stoop to screaming & yelling you get two innocent angelic faces who says…the cats did that!!!
Anyway that was a compilation of days that had happened and today as I sit here….I knew it is not gonna be any different for right now I see a mattress and some clothing peeping out…yeah….cats are out but Furry is upstairs watching tv and Cosy is plain too heavily pregnant to bother with them. Let’s see what they have in store for me as I post this blog!!!

I was informed by the pet shop staff that I should give kitten food to my heavily pregnant Cosy. My, my, our dear feline lady turned her nose up on the kitten food!!!! Only when I mixed in some "adult" cat food she started to eat. She must be thinking…"who does she think I am?" " A baby?" LOL
Now that Cosy is off limits , dear fur ball Furry is taking out his "affections" on my foot!!!! He nibbles & nips at my foot and scratched me gently… hmm….never knew they are so human like….
p.s. Three of our four bitches are in heat. With no access to male dogs…I simply CANNOT believe my eyes when I see their antics!!!! In the human world we would be calling them lesbians!!!! I am shocked but at the same time I find it funny!!!!

Took Cosy to the vet today. I only realized she’s pregnant sometime last week. Had an ultrasound done and vet says it looks like a litter of at least 4. And they are due over the next two weeks!! I felt kinda dumb cos I didn’t notice it earlier. I do feel kind of odd about this. It was as though just yesterday when I picked her & Furry up after being abandoned by their mother and I bottled fed them until their eyes opened. I taught them when to "go potty", how to use the "potty".. sigh… and now they are gonna be "parents". I am excited though to see her young. Can’t wait. It means preparing separate "living quarters" for Furry after Cosy gives birth. As well as getting her used to the box I provided in their "room". OMG I am like a fussy hen!!!

It is amazing how I let myself go on days I don’t walk eg weekends. Last weekend I had TWO whole doughnuts one topped with cheese & cream & the other with chocolate!! And this weekend, I had a slice of rich chocolate cake last night and that was not just it…I had vanilla & chocolate ICE CREAM with it!!! Think that was too much?? I blush , yeah in embarrassment as I tell you I had a doughnut topped with chocolate shreds this afternoon. SheeSH!!! OMG!! No I doubt if it would make me put on more weight. However I know it will not help me lose any.
My problem (or should I say yet another excuse…lol) is I don’t eat enough during the week. I usually have no time to eat properly. It would be fruit & nuts here and there although I make it a point to have a good breakfast. By evening I usually have no energy to eat much. It’s been busy days every day.
Hey, no I am not complaining. I feel good and HAH!! the greatest ( and the most awful) part of it is I FEEL NO GUILT about giving in to sudden sweet cravings! I figured it must be because of the lack of carbs during the week. Anyway I hope to have more discipline the coming weekend.
