So it’s been a month and a day since I’ve injured my foot (mid foot sprain and messed up tendons and ligaments and bone contusions), and today I had another doctors appointment to take off my pink cast and check to see how my foot is healing. The doctor and I were both surprised to see that there was still a very significant amount of bruising and I still had a lot of pain and tenderness in my foot. He said that is unusual since it has already been a month. Anyways, the doc wanted a second MRI done, but he’s going to re-check my foot in two weeks to see if it’s necessary. So I am re-casted. The worst part was seeing how my calf muscle had shrunk…and to think I still have more time in a cast. Nonetheless, I am still motivated and determined to keep striving for a better me :]

A couple months ago I sent in my entry form to do the NPC Excalibur show on December 5th of this year. I was totally excited because I would be doing my very first figure show at age 19! Unfortunately, a little over 2 weeks ago, I had a minor mishap occur when I landed wrong on my left foot. I thought, "It’s ok, it’s probably just twisted or sprained. I’ll be running again in a week’s time!"
So 2 weeks later, there’s still swelling and discoloration. Had an MRI done and went to see a specialist. He says, "This is not a minor injury. This type of injury is worse than broken bones. On average, this will take 2-3 months to heal." Two to three months!! I’ve got a tad over 4 weeks til Excalibur! Soooooooooooooooooooooooo…..no show for me this year :[
But that is okay! My hopes are still high, and I have been still going to the gym since the day after I injured myself. Gotta keep what muscle I have and just try to add some more. There are always shows next year, and I will still be 19 years old. Perhaps I’ll come back bigger and better!
with love, Kim <3

Ever since I started seeing changes with my body, I’ve never looked at people the same way again. Before I started hitting the gym I was a thin, but not twiggish, little girl. Although, I’m still little I am toned and have much definition now. Before all this, I used to look around and envy all the super thin girls. I wanted to be just like them. But now when I look at them, instead of envying them, I think to myself, "Wow that girl needs to pick up some weights." But then I realize that that must’ve been what I used to look like before I started gaining muscle. I look at my body now and compare it to the body I once had, and I must say that I am much happier with the one I have now.

I went to go see a bodybuilding show for the first time today. It was small, but it was totally awesome. It gave me motivation to work harder.

Hi! I’m Kim. And I am new to all of this. I just gotted started in bodybuilding a few days ago. I’d really love advice on nutrition, and excercise. So if you’d like to, would ya help me out? Thanks!
I’d love to be able to be in a competition. I’m also doing this because I think it’s a good way of living. My friends also doubt that I can actually pull through with this, so that makes me wanna reach my goal even more.
