So, this weekend was sort of productive. I didn’t end up doing legs due to having gone hiking up a different side of Skinner Mountain (Hadley, MA) and carrying my 18 mo old nephew up on my back who now weighs 20lbs. This side of the mountain was far rockier than the way I usually go up, which is the way most "tourists" go up, not to mention, much steeper. My legs and ass were BURNING. I was expecting extreme soreness the next day, or two, but had none. So, I figured, Saturday would’ve been considered my active rest day/leg day. That night, we’d gone to Osaka (Japanese hibachi steakhouse) and had gotten my last sushi for the next 8 weeks. I was sure to only get the leaner fish (i.e. tuna, yellowfin, etc… no salmon). I decided to try two of their newest special rolls: the Volcano roll and the Foxy Lady (touch of avocado)… they were pretty good, although the Foxy Lady had a tiny piece of parsley leaf underneath the pear, which gave it more of a cilantro flavor to the roll… guess I wouldn’t really recommend that one, although it was good, the parsley they could’ve done without. I barely ate this weekend, which isn’t good when your dieting out for a competition. I ate 2 to 3 meals a day. I usually eat about 5 to 6. Barely drank the water I should’ve been drinking. At any rate, due to that "time of the month", I’d also gained quite a bit of weight, so weighed myself that morning and was about 117 to 118. Sunday and Monday mostly leisure walked, no workout, which weren’t my intentions, but I got lazy.
Yesterday, had every intentions of lifting, never did. My depression and anxiety got the best of me. I did walk for about 50 min outside with my family and a friend. A bit slow at first, because my friend insists on coming with us with her double-stroller. I usually book it, even with a stroller, but she was holding me up, says she’s pushing about 80lbs (I’d guess more like 50, otherwise I’d worry about her children weighing so much). At any rate, maybe about half way through I was able to go my usual pace of 4.5mph, or over.
I believe I only got to eat like four meals… again, anxiety & depression… was also nauseous. Meals consisted of my usual:
Meal 1: pp & oatmeal with coffee
Meal 2: pp (had appt, no time to take the oatmeal)
Meal 3: chicken, green beans & oatmeal
Meal 4: pp & fruit (yeah, gotta stop the fruit, too)
Watched a bit of tv and went to bed around 11. Need to head to bed earlier. It will do me better to focus on lifting, eat better and of course, reduce times of anxiety & depression. Still debating on the show. Look like **** right now. Hoping to lean out a lot more by the end of the month.
Peace out.
