Tracey Greenwood Photo Shoot: Competitive Obsession

Often times competitors get so caught up in winning that it is borderline unhealthy and to the point that it becomes an obsession. When the outside world looks at what a competitor goes through, many would and do consider it an illness.

I used this concept for a recent photo shoot in my studio with Tracey Greenwood. It is already causing some controversy on http://www.hardbody.com/news/2009/09…tive-obsession which is good as it creates a discussion. Here’s a sample of our shoot.

Many people in the fitness industry know him as "Jamie Eason’s Boyfriend" but to the rest of the world he is Rich Luzzi, lead singer for the group Rev Theory. I had a chance to meet up with Rich as he performed live in my backyard of Lone Tree, Colorado. Richard’s Nutty

Bodybuilding.com’s resident Richard posted a blog about me not eating peanut butter before. Well, that wasn’t entirely true. I hadn’t tried the special blend of peanut butter that is made in the great state of Idaho. He failed to mention that little detail. This blend of nutty goodness contains rare nuts found in undisclosed locations. Most people are aware of Idaho’s famous potatoes but you rarely hear anyone talk about their peanut butter. Yesterday, I tried a vat of the nutty butter and it was in fact very good.
I strayed away from this hidden gem out of fear I’d turn into the elephant man. Richard and his handy man Dean convinced me otherwise and I’m happy to report I didn’t end up looking like this…

Bodyspace’s Sean Harley in Boise

Jen Hendershott Selected as MTV Made Coach

Ms. Fitness International, Jen Hendershott was selected as a coach for MTV’s MADE. Jen tells me she will be coaching a 16 year old boy as he prepares for his first bodybuilding competition. Filming is set to begin next week and Hendy will be keeping us in the loop on how it goes. Filming will be done in North Carolina. Congrats Jen!

Day in the Life with UFC’s Nate Marquardt

I had the unique opportunity to follow UFC fighter, Nate Marquardt through out his day on Friday. Look for the video here on bodybuilding.com in the coming days. It was awesome to see how Nate balances his family life with training and the importance of supplementation and a proper diet. We had an awesome day of shooting and you might even see some of the UFC’s biggest super stars show up in the video.

Dude Downs 7lbs of Potato Pancakes

LAKE GROVE, N.Y. (AP) — That’s a lot of latkes. A 23-year-old mechanical engineering student has downed 46 of the potato pancakes in eight minutes to win a contest at a Long Island deli. Pete Czerwinski (sir-WIN’-skee) says he’d never eaten a latke (lot-kuh) before consuming about seven pounds of them Sunday at Zan’s in Lake Grove. The Toronto bodybuilder says he’s just "a power eater" whose brain never signals that he’s full. Association of Independent Competitive Eaters Chairman Arnie Chapman says Czerwinski demolished the contest’s previous record of 31 latkes, set in 2006. Brooklyn college student Will Millender took second place Sunday with 29 latkes. The pancakes are a traditional treat for Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights. It started Sunday evening.
