I’ve been sorting through photo shoots from the past several months and ran across some of American Gladiator Jamie Reed aka FURY. Tonight is the premiere of season two of the show on NBC. Here are a couple pics from our shoot last July after NPC USAs.

I met up with IFBB pro bodybuilder, Andy Haman yesterday for a shoot. We met at Dylan and Heather Armbrust’s gym. Dylan showed me the new logo for Armbrust Gym that is in the works and it’s pretty cool. They are doing an awesome job of fixing up the gym and still keeping it one of Denver’s lone hardcore gyms. Andy and I shot for a few hours in their gym and then went to Steve Hess’ gym FORZA to get some shots of him on the HARDKORE gym equipment. Steve is a good dude who is getting ready to compete at the Colorado State Championships. Andy consumed more sushi than humanly possible in between shoots. He needed it after doing a few sets with the 170lb dumbbells. Check them out - pretty sweet looking. Andy is getting ready to make his pro debut at the Europa Super show. Any one who knows him knows he’s a guy who doesn’t take himself too serious and is always cracking jokes. We had a good time and got some great shots.
Keep your eyes peeled for some of these shots to land in the pages of the muscle magazines in the months ahead.

Andy doing chest with 170lb dumbbells. Some heavy ass weight!

I received an email today from the editors of JPG Magazine informing me that one of my Arnold Classic photos has been selected for the next issue of their magazine. The photo is a line up of figure competitors during the prejudging which I titled, “Booty Lineup”. Below is the photo that will be in the next issue as well as the email from the editors. I’m happy to announce this as it helps get the images of our industry out into other publications in a positive manner.
Greetings, Isaac!
Thanks so much for submitting to JPG Magazine Issue 16. The editors and the community have spent the last few weeks reviewing the photos and stories. There was so much amazing work - it wasn’t easy. We’re thrilled to tell you that your submission, “Booty Lineup” to Photo Challenge: Line Up, has been selected for publication!

This is one figure diva you’ll want to keep an eye on. She’s competed only once and won her class. She’s set to compete again in Denver. We had a chance to shoot last week and these are a few shots from that day. One funny story to share. While we were rapping up the shoot and getting a few more shots in near a stream we heard a crashing sound. We look over to catch a man on a motorcycle tumbling over the handle bars of his bike. Yes, Rachel literally stopped traffic. Fortunately, the driver of the motorcycle was ok and wasn’t going fast enough to cause injury to him or his bike. He was more embrrassed than anything.
Enjoy…

I recently attended the NPC Nationals in Dallas where I photographed the show for FLEX magazine. There was a bit of downtime on Friday and I took a bit of that time to shoot with IFBB Figure Pro, Amy Peters. Below are a couple shots from our shoot. I’ll have more up in the coming weeks, enjoy these for now…

Great weather, great show and incredible women in West Palm Beach. Tough gig, I know.
Here’s a few of the pics off the stage. More with Heather Green, Kristal Richardson and Sandra Wickham to follow.
Enjoy a couple of Gina and Julie until then.

Keep an eye out for the newest IFBB fitness star - Oksana Grishina. She recently qualified for the Olympia by placing third at the IFBB All-Star Classic. I had the chance to shoot with Oksana and she is simply stunning. Her husband Boris was a tremendous help and a funny guy. He helped translate the poses we were looking for while shooting. (Oksana is from Russia and learning English). You’ll be seeing a lot more of Oksana in the months to come and don’t be surprised if you see her on the cover of a fitness magazine or three.
You can see more of my photos with Oksana on my Myspace page.

Stay tuned throughout the weekend on the Pro/Am blog as update everyone on the happenings in Little Rock. This is my first time to Little Rock and looking forward to covering this show for the NPC. Chad and Kim look to be doing a great job of promoting the show and making all the little details right for those who are competing and attending. I have a couple photoshoots planned on Sunday and I think everyone will be quite pleased when the see the photos and the subjects posted here later.
