Jamie Eason Interview on Askmen.com

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Jamie Eason was recently interviewed by popular web site ASKMEN.com. Bodybuilding.com is mentioned in the opening paragraph…

Whether you’re a fitness fan or not, there’s a good chance you know about Jamie Eason. She’s been featured in many fitness magazines and has been crowned the World’s Fittest Model. Now she’s teaming up with Bodybuilding.com as its spokesperson and is hoping to get more involved with her passions of writing and book-publishing.

Jamie Eason began her journey into the fitness world with a short stint as an NFL cheerleader, but she soon found herself sinking into an inactive lifestyle. So, she sat up and took action; she purchased a gym membership and began a regular workout routine. Soon after, her strength gains were coming nicely, but she wasn’t so comfortable with the way her clothes were fitting.

Rest In Peace Ben Weider - Passes Away at age 85

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

It’s with great sadness I write Bodybuilding has lost one of the founding fathers of the sport. Ben Weider passed away yesterday in Montreal at the age of 85. I had the honor and privilege of meeting Mr. Weider backstage at the Olympia. He thanked me for my contributions to bodybuilding and my help in the industry. He was very much aware of things happening in the industry.

Mr. Weider was a proud supporter of bodybuilding.com and was very thankful and gracious towards the DeLuca family.

He’ll be laid to rest on Monday in Montreal.

Last Friday I made the trip to Broomfield, Colorado to cover STRIKEFORCE for sherdog.com. Sherdog.com is one of the biggest and most popular MMA web sites. Photographing fights is always fun and keeps you on your toes.

The competitive season slowing down

Monday, October 6th, 2008

FINALLY! Things are beginning to slow down here in LIFTland. This month I won’t be traveling and it’s a refreshing break. Next month things heat up again as I head to Sacramento, Kentucky and Atlanta for show coverage. Throw in a wedding to Cancun, and the month of November will be one busy ass month for me. I’ll be blogging here more now that things have slowed down. It’s been a great competitive season and now it’s time to sort the thousands of photos I’ve shot over the past few months.

I have a number of new and exciting things planned in the weeks ahead so stay tuned!
