I got on the scale and I’m weighing 166 lbs which isn’t bad since I was about 153 before I got pregnant (I’m 5′9). Today I got on the treadmill for a 30 minutes aerobic workout where I did a walk/run routine. Then I did 3 sets of 12 of crunches on a stability ball and then 3 sets of 20 of med. ball twists. I will start lifting on Monday, I wanted to make sure my body is ready so I’m starting out slow (this is slow for me! HA!). My calorie breakdown for meals is as follows (I don’t want to post my actual foods out of respect for my trainer):
Breakfast: 396 Calories
Snack: 296 Calories
Lunch: 362 Calories
Snack: 288 Calories
Dinner: 338 Calories
Snack: 294 Calories
Total: 1974 Calories

Well after 3 months of bedrest and a very easy delivery (2 pushes and my daughter was out) it has been 8 days since I had her and I got on the treadmill to do a run/walk routine. I felt great! I started my nutrition plan 6 days ago and I will start my training program on Monday. My goal is to be ready for a figure competition at the end of May. I will post my measurements and post my before pictures hopefully tomorrow. I was so sick for the entire pregnancy I only gained about 27 lbs so I don’t have much to lose just a lot of toning to do.

was telling my mom about a co-worker of mine asking me for advice on how to lose that last 5 lbs. My mom replied with "I wish I only had 5 lbs to lose but instead I have 40." I told her "You could only have 5 lbs if you lost 35." She replied with "I know, I know but it’s just too exhausting." I got annoyed (she yo yo diets really badly) and I said "Do you know why it’s too exhausted, it’s because you are overweight." Did I go too far, was I too honest with her. I am just tired of hearing her complain about her weight but yet she won’t try to lose any of it. She told me she was going to do the "No Carbs." diet and I said "DO NOT do that because as soon as you stop doing that you will gain all your weight back plus an extra 10 or so." Well that’s exactly what happened! I don’t want to hurt her but I feel that I have to be truthful with her. This is why I get so frustrated with her, this was her reply (we are emailing) "I know what you are saying. i could care less what I look like eachday…because I am FAT!". What kind of attitude is that. AAARRRGGGG!

Okay so first of all I want to start off by saying that I love this site. I have met some great people who share the same interests as me. Although I am fed up with the perverts who email and to tell you that your progress looks great and then all the sudden they try taking the "conversation" to a whole "new" level. If you are looking for that type of thing this is not the website for it! I am sure there are a lot of other people who have run into this same issue but quite honestly it is very frustrating! So for all you, in my opinion, perverts don’t email me! I just had to vent for a minute!

Alright so we’re going on vacation, well we’re going to CO for a wedding so I guess it’s not really a vacation but anyway…. We will leave next Friday morning and not return until the following Monday. I want to make sure I stay with my nutrition plan on those 4 days. Friday and Monday will be easy because we will be in the car driving so I can pack a cooler of my meals. My question; does anyone have suggestions on how to stay eating clean while you are staying at someone else’s house (we’re staying with my bf’s cousin). Would it be rude of me to bring my own meals (chicken, etc) for the weekend? If I did I think my cooler of meals will be larger than my luggage! HA!

Does anyone have any suggestions for someone who hates veggies? I am trying to get ready for a figure competition this summer, however I hate veggies. I can occasionally eat cooked broccoli or cauliflower but anything else I find disgusting (ex: green beans, cabbage, cucumbers, zucchini, etc.). Does anyone have suggestions as to how to cook these so I can eat them without gagging!

I was wondering what people prefer, the upper/lower body workout and the split body part workout (legs, chest & back, bis & tris, shoulders). I currently do a split body part workout which is nice because the workouts are shorter but I hate waiting 7 days before I work a certain body part again (ex: chest). I am thinking of switching to an upper/lower body workout.

I’ve been to a lot of other sites that have the same type of foundation (forum, comments, pictures, etc) but I have found that a lot of people there are rude and they make you feel like an idiot, some to the point where you don’t even want to ask a simple question. The first thing I noticed about this site after reading blogs, comments, etc, is that everyone here is genuinely nice, willing to help by answering questions and/or by providing much needed motivation. After only a couple days I am hooked! Anyway I just wanted to share that. Good luck to everyone on their goals and avoiding the flu!
