Life is crazy…

We come on here, and bust out behinds in the gym, with nutrition, and plus many of us are parents - so we are trying to set a good example, and somewhat get another lease on life.

We do all of this, and yet we still have "visitors" or HATERS that come on here and have opinions about why we’re on here!

I mean, as huge as I am, and as much weight as I have to lose - Why on earth would I come to a bodybuilding and fitness site to meet women?

…But hey - They hate, and we keep pushin’ weight!

The kids are back in school & I recently lost my job - What does that mean? 2 A DAYS!!

Got the house to myself and can do some hardcore training - (after I do the dishes, the laundry, the bathrooms, vacuum, mow the grass, watch Oprah, etc….)

A few days ago, I had to read the following comment:

"Men like you disgust me. only purpose you use this site for is to flirt with women because you’re too afraid to talk to them in person. take that photo of your friend down, because you don’t deserve to be friends with someone like him, you sad sack of potatoes. go out and lift some weights and do some cardio."

 

Now….

…This is suppose to be a place of inspiration, and that’s exactly what this comment has done - Inspire!  Let’s get something straight

1.  I’m not here to flirt - just inspire

2.  I’m not taking my buddies pic off of here because he INSPIRES me…Right now he is in Iraq sweating and fighting to stay alive, so I can be in his wedding when he gets back to the states - He’s fighting for losers like you to still have an opportunity to put BS like this on the net. - so NO, I do deserve him as a friend and I won’t be removing the pic.

3.  Lastly, I don’t do potatoes (too many carbs), but as far as lifting and doing cardio - I’ll take your advice.  I’ll be breaking away from Bodyspace for a moment - so my progress pics will make you eat your words (don’t worry, they won’t be fattening :)

Last night I was in "the gym" (garage) and I was doing P90X+ Interval X Workout.  Then these 2 people walk in and start working out with me - we made it all the way through 1 hr!  After the workout, my new partners said they felt good and could do this every day.  After settling down, I tucked my new partners into bed, & they gave me the most motivating words…

…"Good night daddy, I love you, can we exercise again tomorrow?"

(Did I mention my workout partners were my 7 yr old daughter & 5 yr old son?  They both say this is their "offseason soccer workout." ;)

I’m doing P90X and this time & keeping a journal to keep up with my progress and to motivate me to do better than the previous workout.

I know there is a fitness test that you are suppose to take in order to see if P90X is too intense for you - Well it probably is, BUT…

…I bought it so I’m using it.  I’m just going to keep of how long I can go in the workout.  Most of the DVDs are 1 hour long - After each workout, I write down how far I got, and make it a point to go farther on the next workout, until I can cosistently do th entire hour!

OK Bodyspace!  I’M BACK!
I want to say "Thank You" to all of my friends for staying on me to get back in the game (Especially: ItsAboutime, amysuds, DeterminedDeana, AntWrig, and Daretosoar)
I finally reached my deductible and can afford the asthma medication I really needed to get through my workouts
Now I can last longer than 5 minutes (sweet! 6 minute abs?)

…Time to Bring It!

“OL”

"OL" - It’s just 2 letters, but those 2 letters brought some very ego damaging news to me.

For all you football fans, "OL" does NOT stand for offensive line.

What is "OL?" - It’s the reading on my scale when I stepped on it this morning.  "OL" stands for "over the limit."  Which means I’m too heavy for a scale!

The same scale that I have always been on…

Which means I’ve GAINED weight!?!?

Now I will admit that I have not hit "The Plan" like I’m suppose to, but that was such a devastating blow for me.  At this point, I want to throw in the towel - Lately the only reason I’ve been coming on here is to add new friends, read blogs, and HOPE that I can find some inspiration.

When I watched "Body of Work" - (The BFL video tape that started it all) - The people in the video stated that you have to make a conscience decision that you ARE going to change youe lifestyle - But I guess I’m just like 90% of this country, I WANT to make a lifestyle change, but still have not made the decision.

Hopefully I can find inspiration not just on here, but also from within…

DO OR DIE?

I know I’ve posted and stated that "sex" is the main reason we workout…

…but on a serious note:

Asthma, sleep apnea, acid reflux…All of these things that I carry on a day to day basis & all of these can lead to death. 

I am already starting to feel the effects of sleep apnea – headaches!  And I’m afraid that the headaches are a result of me having several bouts where I stop breathing throughout the night.  And in turn, my brain may not be getting enough oxygen – which is cause for the headaches! (Scary)

I’m living on a double edged sword – my obesity contributes to my health problems (asthma, sleep apnea, acid reflux), but my health problems hinder me from exercise.

1.       Asthma – shortness of breath, which means short workouts – if any

2.       Sleep Apnea – when I wake up numerous times throughout the night, I do not get adequate rest – so much for that morning session of cardio

When it all boils down to it, I have no choice but to fight through these excuses and get as much exercise as I can, until I am able to work up to working out for 1 hour each day.

I have a wife, and 2 kids (5 & 7) plus a lot of nieces & nephews that tragically lost their father…

…for me – It’s do or die (And I can’t afford to die)
