Socializing & nutrition

I am proud of myself, but at the same time i still feel a smidge of guilt lol. I went to a friends housewarming party/birthday party and although i started out with only the intention of celebrating, i did buckle down to the social pressure and have a drink as a toast to the b-day boy.  I had  a white wine spritzer. And although i feel good that that was the only drink i had, i still feel guilty about it and kept thinkin, dammit i shouldn’t have had that drink. I even guzzled down 4 water bottles throughout the night to wash my guilt away in a way (funny in its own special way but true). That night, i dreamt of overnight bloating and overnight lost gains…sheesh i’m only a couple of weeks into this thing and i’m already getting these things NOW….hate to see it when i’m only a few weeks out from a comp! Anywayz, i labeled the drink as my cheat for the week and look forward to starting another fresh week.

    Be proud that you only had one drink…! If that’s your only cheat the last week I think you did great!

    Layne Norton (str8flexed) mentioned something about alcohol intake in a previous post. In his studies it is not optimal however 1 - 2 on occasion are actually beneficial however if you have 3 drinks or more at one sitting the benefits are gone and it is pretty bad for gains and your body in general. So don’t feel overly guilty for 1 drink..feel bad if you split a fifth of bourbon with your friend and wake up somewhere you don’t recognize!!! Good luck reaching yur goals!!!
