Love the legs!

July 2, 2007

2nd July : Legs and Triceps

Leg day again! Legs for me are one of my strong points, i see alot of people who have trained there upper body but forgot about one of the most vital parts - there legs!! Theres no point in training your top half if you’ve got no wheels to carry it! I tend to stick to my favourite core exercises for legs like presses and squats, they have worked so well for me this far that i dont feel the need to change. I do though like to alternate between seated calf raises and standing ones, i really prefer standing ones but i can do more weight on the seated ones. Today i just did standing ones - went upto 264lbs x15 reps! Most ive done so far - yay! But most of the time i end up doing both, they have really grown - i’ll post some pics soon so keep checking!!

Triceps - I like to superset alot with my tri’s, love the burn they get. Did machine dips and overhead one arm - wow oh i definately felt that! my tri’s were lagging a bit but ive brought them up nicely i think, even though it doesnt look like it from the dodgy pic in my photos. In the gym they look fab but everywhere else they dont seem to look as good, the light must me really good in there, and maybe the mirrors too :)

Negative comments

June 30, 2007

30th June:

Yesterday i got my first negative comment since ive started bodybuilding! I knew one was imminent because all the other top female bodybuilders have had loads. Its harder for women because its not classed as a "normal" thing for a woman to do so your going to get some smart alec who decides to slate all your hard work! Yes hard work! No messing around we train just as hard as any man so why the prob? Anyways back to me someone accuses me of taking gear, which I DONT! I have a natural high testosterone level which is good in this sport but i didnt think that as i was growing up. Then of having too much bodyfat, YEAH, im working on it, not everyone on this site is perfect you know, im on here so you can see my progress!! A few years ago i was more then twice the weight i am now and a size 24!!! now im a uk size 10 so obviously im going to have some bodyfat left do’h! I was rather angry as you can imagine so went to the gym - wow - anger works! uped all my weights and toally bashed it… who needs supplements? Just get a negative comment!

27th June - Back and Biceps

Day three and the last day of my training cycle before it repeats. Started with bi’s first today, i change it around each time because the first thing i do will get my most energy. My lats are really coming on so concentrating on bi’s today.

Aternating dumbbell curls - 22lbs x 30 (warm up) - 35lbs x 10 (2 sets)

Seated dumbbell curls - 52lbs x 10 (3 sets)

Preacher Curls - 33lbs x 15 - 38lbs x 12 - 44lbs x 10

Two arm high cable curls - 33lbs x 10 (3 sets)

Lat pulldown - 88lbs x 12 - 99lbs x 10 - 110lbs x 8

Close grip pulldown - 110lbs x 10 - 121lbs x 10 - 132lbs x 8

Seated row - 66lbs x 12 - 77lbs x 10 - 88lbs x 10

One arm row - 44lbs x 10 - 48lbs x 10 - 52lbs x 10

Did 30 min cardio after. Started doing more cardio recently to get rid of more bodyfat. heard people saying that they lost strength and size but ive been doing this for two months now and ive experience the opposite. My strength has incresed and my muscle has increased too rather a large amount! After ive started using cell tech RTD cans again, love the taste - when the stupid pod mixes inside!! Noticed a difference before but couldnt get hold of any, now i have a few months supply so lets see…

June 26, 2007

hey, thought id just starting writing my road to becoming MS Olympia. ive been training for 8 months now and im seeing amazing progress so i thought id share it with everyone!

25th June - Leg day

Didn’t start off well today, my town was flooded and i had to wade through countless "rivers" to get to the gym, still i got there, wet and tiered but nothing can keep me away!!

Leg press - 264lbs x 20 - 440lbs x 10 - 616lbs x 10 - 704lbs x 15

Squats - 88lbs x 12 - 132lbs x 10 - 176lbs x 8

Leg ext - 121lbs x 12 - 154 x 10 - 198lbs x 8

Leg curl - 88lbs x 12 - 110lbs x 10 - 132lbs x 8

Standing calf raises - 88lbs x 20 - 176lbs x 15 - 220lbs x 12

Even though i was tiered it felt so good and this nice vein appeared across my right calf, first time ive ever seen that - cool!

26th June - Chest and Delts

Off work today so i got up early and wizzed off to the gym. I was really excited about doing chest, it looked fab last time and i couldnt wait to see it again. injured my elbow at work last week so i had to take it easy, hate doing that because im an animal but i guess its got to be done!

Incline press - 88lbs x 12 - 99lbs x 10 - 132lbs x 10

Bech press - 44lbs x 12 - 88lbs x 10 - 132lbs x 10

Cable cross overs - 33lbs x 12 - 44lbs x 10 - 55lbs x 10

Lateral raises - 44lbs x 12 - 55lbs x 10 (2 sets)

Front raises - 55lbs x 10 (3 sets)

Upright row - 66lbs x 10 (3 sets)

I love my shoulders they pump up really good and are a real focal point for me, im still carrying a bit of bodyfat so my veins aren’t that prominent but shoulders are different, they are covered its great!
