THE COMMON MAN WITH UNCOMMON FOCUS

 NOV. 19, 2007

WHO AM I & HOW DID I GET HERE…?

I am a 29 year old man that works with DSS, nonprofit originations and security. I work in one form or another, not only to fuel my needs and wants but also for my five year old son.
I always find a balance in my toiling day, so that I can continue to help my physical exemplification grow, into a better projection of what NPC sees as greatness. With every year that passes since my start in the NATIONAL PHYSIQUE COMMITEE, I continued to refine what God has given me. Because of my life structure and financial hardship, I cannot give my constant attention to creating a better body. I am limited to no more than 2 hours a day, six days per week. Now, to the individual who does not know much about professional training, I am willing to do a concise “breakdown” for you; Out of the 2 hours, Approx 40 minutes is devoted to cardio, approx 20 minutes goes to the rest-factor [which is broken down into segments] and last but not least, approx 1 hour goes to strength & power training. The order stated above is not set in stone. I hope that 12 hours of training a week does not sound overwhelming. It should not be. Just think of all the time you spend on socializing, or enjoying yourself doing something else. Speaking of enjoyment, I believe that this is a very powerful factor that makes my wants & needs possible to flourish, into what I am today. If you do not enjoy doing this then it will take much more than will power to get you to the body that you have thought of, dreamt of and crave but may not do anything about. Procrastination is the largest enemy working against you from my experience working with and on others to achieve their goals in the past.
I would like to get back the training time factors for those that have time restraints tighter than latex gloves; a half-an-hour per day, every day, participating solely in cardio in the gym or out is fine, great and very doable. As long as you keep your repetitions above 24 and rest less than 30 seconds between sets, this is cardio with weights in the gym.
I became educated about Bodybuilding.com through your company’s constant promotion at most of the upscale bodybuilding shows that I was either in or enjoying it as a viewer. I never thought to go to the site until 2007 when I saw someone at my gym wearing your shirt, stating your company name in large bold letters. It simply “clicked.” I figured that with all the attention that it was getting was for a validated reason.
Once I signed up, all else was history! I connected to it like bread & butter. I had been looking for a community where I would be able to expose my talent and hard work. The various sections of the site are very helpful, informative and easy to navigate.
No matter what you do in life, as long as you’re in a civilized, organized society, you’ll be able to create reality out of your dreams. There is no luck in your construction, only focus, determination and hard work.
            Sincerely,

              CASA WILSON of the NPC
