Tuesday, January 13th, 2009I finally took pics today. I wasn’t really motivated before because my measurements haven’t really changed. After taking the pics, I was surprised to see how my lats and traps have developed. I’m looking forward to the cutting phase which I’ll probably start in six weeks. I’m happy that my clean bulking phase hasn’t added that much fat. I only gained three pounds so far and only eat high calories (2000) on lifting days. I’m also carb cycling with a 40/30/30 split on off training days and a 50/25/25 on training days. I recently added two days of cardio because, believe it or not, I miss it. With my ipod pumping music into my ears, It’s quite relaxing and meditative.
My belly fat is starting to loosen it’s grip on my body. I always knew it would be the last to go. I imagine I won’t see anything dramatic until I start cutting.
Update on the warrior diet, I’m still following it because it works for me. I enjoy my fast during the day and having a nice satisfying meal at night. It fits well with my body-type. During the days I have a couple of kefir whey shakes and nuts with lots of fruits and veggies. I enjoy my weekends and dine out on pastas and pizzas. Of course I never overeat because I don’t like that stuffed feeling. This is the type of diet I can live on for the rest of my life because I don’t feel deprived, and I also have a lot of energy.
