Wow… so i just looked back at my past blogs I’ve written and I can’t believe I’ve been on this site since I was 18….I’m 20 now!!! I’ve decided I am going to try to keep a blog, at least a few times a week, to log my progress and to help me stay motivated. I run Cross Country and Track and sadly my Track season is almost over. I will be on my own after that to train all summer long to get ready for Cross Country in the fall. I plan to do my best to write down what I eat daily and also all the exercise, cardio and weight lifting I do. I think by writing things down it will help me to realize how much I really eat and also make me think twice before having a piece of chocolate or a cookie lol! I have a very sweet tooth so that is going to be very very hard for me!! Well I guess to start off, I met my friend at the gym this morning at 8. We did about 60 minutes of weight lifting, then I did the last 20 minutes of a step class and then after my friend and I went on the stair master for 10 minutes. THen we were headed home but as i was driving I saw my dad and he yelled at me and asked if i wanted to play raquetball so I turned around and went back to the gym lol and played about 45 mintues of raquetball. For food so far today I had yogurt and granola before I went to the gym and then I had a smoothie with protein and calcium from the gym. Thats all for now…time to go in the jacuzzi =)

is going to be KINESIOLOGY. For those who don’t know what that is, it is defined as the study of human movement. It is similar to Sports Medicine. It prepares you for jobs in the health and fitness, athletic coaching, nutrition and various sport related organizations. My passion is helping others, especially children. With my degree I would love to be able to help people loose weight and get in shape. I believe that taking care of yourself and being in shape helps you improve in all areas of your life. For example it helps you feel more confident, so you can do better in your work field and social life, it also helps you to be able to be involved in more activities such as sports or playing with your children. I want to help people feel great about themselves and let them know they can accomplish anything they put their minds to.
My favorite bible verse is Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I use this every time I work out. When i feel like I can’t so another rep or run that extra mile, I think of this and it encourages me and gives me the strength I need to do ANYTHING.
I am so excited to start college in September. Last semester I took Physics at a college near my house and loved it. I think its such a different environment then high school. I am especially excited for all the classes I get to take with my major. In order to complete my degree i have to{

} take : 3 P. E classes, which includes weight training!, and nutrition classes, and first aid, athletic injury prevention, fitness assessment and exercise prescription…..all classes i would love and can’t wait to take! I believe this is going to be an amazing 4 years! But I can’t wait to begin my career and start changing peoples lives

Well last friday I finaly went and I got my belly button pierced! I absolutely love it! I think it a great motivator for me now…….whenever I am tempted to eat candy or junk food i just think you need to keep your abs in shape now or it will look gross. I went to the gym monday and it was hard to do a few machines cause your stomach is right up against a pad but i managed. Today I is leg day. I’m going to work them really hard and maybe I can convince my mom to come to the gym with me. Well i am going to go eat my yummy oatmeal

Well I am finally 18 now and I see this as a day to really get a good start on changing my eating and exercising habits. I got up early this morning and the first thing i did was get my gym shorts and top on and went and ran over a mile on my treadmill. I am very proud of myself. I’m always hearing people saying how its good to run first thing in the morning and have told myself the night before i would get up and run but never was able to get out of bed. But this morning I thought well lets start off my birthday in a positive way and do something good for me. I lay there thinking in my bed not wanting to get out of bed when a song on the radio came on and the girl said something about being lazy not wanting to get out of bed so I jumped out of bed knowing that was meant for me to hear! lol
well now i am about to eat breakfast, probably going to be my only healthy meal today! I have so much planned for today like going bowling, geting a manicure, buying a lotto ticket and a few scratch offs, going to the mall, out to lunch and out to dinner. I am most excited for dinner cause for desert i get a free pazookie, which is the deep dish warm cookie with 3 big scoop and vanilla bean ice cream. oh man, i am going to have to do a lot of running tomorrow!

So i am really excited to turn 18 on thursday. But it is going to be hard all weekend to not eat to many sweets. I am at least gonna let myself eat the desert i get with dinner when i go out to eat on thursday, but i am going to have to be careful not to eat to much other junk food and ruin my diet! I’m not positive what i am going to do all day but i think i am going to go bowling, then go shopping at the mall, maybe get a pedicure or get a massage, then the night i’m going out with some family and friends for dinner.
I am trying to come up with design and saying to silk screen on a shirt to wear on Thursday so if anyone has any ideas let me know!!!!!
